The next day we packed up and made our way back to the village. As I saw the gates I nearly started running, I hadn't been here in years and just beyond that gates was the place I called home. We were summoned straight to the Hokage tower were Tsunade explained my being here and that I was her apprentice. After some debating the elders allowed me to stay as a Jounin. I grabbed my bag which held the few belongings I still possessed and grabbed out my old hitai-ate and for the first time in years wrapped it around my upper arm and wore it proudly. I was given a key to a small apartment in the Anbu district, I was told that until they could confirm I wasn't a spy for Itachi I would be under supervision which was fine with me. I didn't have anything to hide.
After leaving the Hokage tower I walked around town in search of Sasuke, The village had changed a lot in the past couple years. Most of the village had to be rebuilt after the attack so I wasn't to familiar with the area. After some walking I managed to stumble across one shop that I would never forget as long as I lived, Ichiraku ramen! Me and Itachi used to eat here all the time after missions! God I wonder how long it's been since i've have Ramen as good as this. I sat down and waited until a young lady took my order, Suddenly I saw him. "TEUCHI!" I yelled! He turned around and it took him a minute to recognize me. "Oh my god! Mizuki? I thought you were dead!" He said with a big smile on his face "Well I guess it had been a while hasn't it haha.." I said sheepishly "So who's this pretty lady you've got work here? I said nodding to the lady who took my order. "Oh this is my daughter Ayame! Ayame this was my #1 before Naruto came along" He said introducing us. "Nice to meet you Ayame! Now I'll tell you I've had lots of Ramen these past few year but none as good as Ichiraku's!" I laughed and continued to chatter away with the two about my travels until I finished my Ramen.
"Thank you so much for the Ramen it was amazing!" I said pulling out my wallet to pay. Before I could Teuchi stopped me and said "You don't need to pay, this one's on the house! Take it a welcoming gift" I thanked the two and left to continue looking for Sasuke. I stumbled upon some old training grounds and decided to take a break since my legs were starting to hurt from walking. I climbed up into a tree and rested for a bit before I heard someone yelling and it seemed to be getting closer. I opened my eyes and looked out to see four people, Among them was a tell silver haired man, A short pinkett, Naruto and...Sasuke. I jumped down from my tree and ran over to them as fast as I could. I nearly tackled Sasuke into a hug and everyone around me just froze. Naruto was the first to act "Big sis Mizuki? How do you know Sasuke?!?!" He asked. The pink haired girl looked furious at me and the Silver haired one just kept quiet. Sasuke pulled away from my embrace and gave a me a cold look before punching me in the gut, hard enough to send me back a few steps.
I looked up and smiled "Damn little brother, You've grow up quite a bit since I last saw you" I smiled and Sasuke looked as if he could cry. The other three just watched as Sasuke came up to me and hugged me again "If you ever leave me again, I'll kill you" He whispered his voice cracking. We stayed like that for a while until the Jonin coughed as to catch my attention. Sasuke whispered something else to me as I pulled away looking down the row at them all. "How can I put this....My first impression of this group, your all a bunch of idiots" I said flatly.
Naruto started cracking up and the Pinkette looked so angry she could be a mini Tsunade The silver haired one had an unreadable expression. I turned to Sasuke, "You said it was supposed to be funny Sasuke why do they look like they hate me?!?" Sasuke had to turn around to avoid laughing. I turned back to the others "Eh, Sorry about that. Sasuke said it was a joke and that you guys would laugh" I said clutching the back of my head.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Mizuki Uchiha, Sasuke's older sister!" I said with a smile. "WAIT WHAT?!?!" Why didn't you tell me you were Sasuke's sister!" Naruto pouted. "You didn't ask Naruto" I sighed. "Hmp Well I'm Sakura Haruno!" The girl said glaring at me. What did I do to make her hate me already I wondered. "I'm Kakashi Hatake, I assume you already know who I am though." He said giving me an eye smile. Then it clicked, This was Kakashi of the sharingan, The copy ninja! We worked together a few times when I was in anbu! How did I not notice him sooner. "Nice to see you again Kakashi! As for you Sakura It's nice to meet you! If you don't mind I would like to steal Sasuke for a while" I said grabbing Sasuke by the shoulders "That's fine, He won't be missing much anyways" Kakashi said. That was all I needed and me and Sasuke headed off to find a place to talk.
We ended up in a small cafe that served desserts and tea, I ordered some dangos for the table and we started talking. First Sasuke asked me why I left and I had to explain to him what I thought of Itachi, He told me he couldn't forgive Itachi. I knew that might be the case but luckily he said that he would be willing to forgive me. He said he understood I must've been in a lot of pain considering my twin had massacred my entire clan. He said told me that he would forgive me as long as I never left after Itachi without him, I agreed and from then on we spent the time talking about our lives. Sasuke told me about academy and the chunin exams. He told me how annoying his fangirls are which I found super funny because Itachi always had the same problem. Finally he told me about the curse mark and that pissed me off because one fuck Orochimaru and two fuck Orochimaru. I swear the next time I see his ugly snake ass I'm gonna kill him. I also told Sasuke about my travels and all the places I visited with Tsunade. I didn't talk much about how trying to find Itachi went and he didn't ask. After a couple hours it was getting dark and we were about to go home.
"Hey Mizu, where are you going, aren't you going to go back to the Uchiha compound?" He asked, I almost died when he called me my old nickname. "Sorry Sasuke, Right now I'm staying in the Anbu district and I am under close supervision. Once I've been cleared I promise I'll move back home." I gave him a small head pat and we went our separate ways.
