the snow that fell on the withering sharks ship immediately melted as they went into scorching hot weather. m/n took his coat off and the long sleeve shirt he had for the cold weather earlier.

re-putting on the coat he had just a few hours prior.

he leaned over the rail, looking at the waves crashing down on the side. a light smile on his face.

"are you sure they'll be okay, captain?"

m/n turned his head to haru, looking over to see all of his crew looking at him. m/n nodded his head.

"that luffy kid, he's something else. besides, he has some pretty good pirates, including the pirate hunter. how he managed that... i'm not sure." he laughed.

"they seem like the type to draw trouble." haru said.

"indeed." m/n said, looking back over to the ocean, that's zoro for you.

haru walked next to m/n, looking at his face. he noticed the softness to it, the way he seemed relaxed. a few times they've crossed paths with zoro, and each time m/n was always like that.

"you know, it seems you're very close to that zoro person. i mean even as kids you were different around him."

m/n looked at him again, his smile getting bigger at the mere mention of the pirate hunter.

"you've noticed?"

haru nodded, "he returned tadeo and never rejoined his crew for drinks with us. he seems like the type to drink."

m/n looked down, a loving look in his eyes. zoro does like to outdrink people.

haru's eyes widened, it finally clicking in his mind. "how long?"

m/n grinned at that, thanking that this conversation was only for haru to hear.

"since... forever." m/n said. "i've never told any of you for... personal reasons." that knocked the grin off his face, he frowned a bit at the mention of hiding it.

haru noticed that, feeling the change in his attitude.

"tell me about him. or a memory." haru said.

m/n looked at him, his eyes shined a bit. "you'll really listen? you really want to hear?"

haru heard just a hint of eagerness in his voice. it seemed his captain has been dying to tell someone about zoro, he could tell m/n has been holding a weight on himself for that.

"i'm all ears."

"well..." m/n began to tell a memory.

m/n saw the green haired male walking away. he furrowed his eyebrows as he knew zoro had no clue to where he was going.

"i'll be right back." he said, waving to his crew as he followed the male. tadeo adjusted himself on m/n's shoulder.

zoro could feel someone following him, he put his hand over the handle of one of his swords. he fully took it out and turned, but there was no one. the only sound was the wind pushing against his ears, and then a few leaves falling on top of his head.

"hey there roronoa zoro."

zoro quickly looked up, "hey there pretty boy." he smiled, his eyes never leaving the taller male. tadeo flew off m/n's shoulder and went onto zoro's wrapping his wings around zoro's face, giving him a weird hug.

m/n jumped off the tree, wrapping an arm around zoro's waist. "you're a long ways away from that tiny place." m/n refused to say the name.

zoro nodded, peeking through some of tadeo's feathers, "decided it was time to leave. and! now there's more of a chance we get to see each other." he smiled, resting his head on m/n's shoulder. causing tadeo to fly to zoro's other shoulder.
