Brock sighed as he could finally see Kanto in the distance. It felt like it had been months since he returned home, when in actuality it was just 5 days. As the boat reached the shore he hopped off and bid his goodbyes to Gary.
He really didn't feel like walking at the moment, so he called out his steelix to give him a ride. As he approached home, he saw his father and Forest returning home from what looked like a long journey. "Where have you guys been?" Brock asked confused. They looked up worried, before running straight at him. "Brock, you have to get out of here." Forest yelled, confusing Brock. Before Brock could ask what, he meant his father answered him "Your mother and Holly. They have gone crazy. For the past five days they've had us running all over Kanto to deliver invitations and do anything else they need." Flint Yelled. "They're even making the kids do it too!" Forest exclaimed as he pointed at two of Brock's younger siblings who had the same depressed aura around them. "Poor Suzie and Tommy." Brock said sadly.
Brock slowly walked to the front door to see if it was true. As he walked inside, he found his mother and Holly sitting at the table talking about the wedding. They looked up when he came in "Oh Brock, you made it back. Did you find your Bestman?" Holly asked. "I did, but the question is if he can make it or not, he didn't really seem in the mood." Brock explained dejectedly. "Oh, well that's too bad, but if he really is your best friend then I'm sure he'll show up." Holly said positively. "Yeah, your right." Brock said.
As Brock was saying this, the doorbell rang. Brock went to answer it. When he opened the door, he found Lucian of the Sinnoh elite four, along with his wife Rhonda, who was a popular news reporter. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Williams." Brock said brightly. "Ah, hello Brock." Lucian said as he was led into the kitchen.
Rhonda instantly sat down at the table. As they started catching up and Norman and forest walked in. "Ah, you two have returned. Here we have some more letters for you to mail." Lola said smiling. The two dejectedly went and grabbed the letters. "Lucian why don't you join them." Rhonda said, also smiling sweetly. Lucian was about to protest, but his arm was quickly grabbed by Norman. "Just do as they say." Flint whispered, worried. Lucian thought it over before nodding with a scared look.
After the duo left there was some screaming outside. Brock quickly went to investigate. As he got closer, he could hear arguing at the other side of the door. "No fair you cheated." Came an enraged female's voice. "Nah, ah sis. I won fair and square." Came a slightly younger, male's voice. Brock smiled as he opened the door, and as he expected there stood a 19-year-old brunette, along with a 15-year-old boy with blue hair and glasses. "Kids stop fighting." Came a voice from behind them. There, stood Norman and Caroline Maple, along with their kids Max and May Maple.
The kids looked down mad, causing Brock to chuckle. They looked up instantly. "Brock, it's been so long!" May said hugging him. Brock returned the hug with a smile. "Well, not if you count the video calls you have with Holly every week." Brock said. "By the way, where's Dawn I figured she would be traveling with you." Brock asked. "Oh, she'll be here soon, she stayed back a ways. She had to deal with the two idiots." May explained. Brock was a little confused but didn't question it.
They all went into the kitchen, only for the boys to return a bit later with some envelopes and confused expressions. Brock felt sorry for them, but new he would have to do something sooner or later, so he went into the kitchen, and received the task of getting decorations.
As Brock reached the door to leave, he once again heard the sound of arguing and opened the door. "I'm gonna open it for her." "No, I'm gonna open it!" Two men were arguing, one with blond hair, and the other with green, before a fist struck them both in the back of the head. Both boys instantly fell to the ground, KO'ed. Behind them, with her fist still raised was a 19-year-old bluenette. "Hi dawn, long time no see." Brock said smiling. "It sure has been a long time, Brock." Dawn said.
