Melody slumped into the chair of the infirmary's front desk. She was bored beyond her mind. Sometimes being a child of Apollo sucked. She didn't mind the infirmary being a healer was who she was. But sometimes, she had other things she wished she could be doing. She fiddled around with a pen, half-wishing someone came with something serious just so she could have something to do.

The door opened, and Atlas stumbled in. Melody immediately sprang up, ready for action. She examined Atlas from afar, but nothing seemed wrong.

"Just came to get a bandaid," she said, holding up her hand. "I cut myself in the arts and crafts station."

Melody's shoulders slumped. "Oh," she sighed, slightly disappointed. "I'll get you one."

Melody walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a box of bandaids. Before she could walk over to Atlas, an idea popped into her head.

"Hey Atlas, do you know that Disney movie Tangled?" She asked, an amused smile rising to her face.

Atlas frowned. "Yeah, why?" She asked suspiciously. Atlas had seen that mischievous look on Melody before, and it never meant anything good.

"You know the healing incantation?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I want to try it," Melody confirmed, determination burning in her green eyes.

Atlas furrowed her eyebrows. "You can't be serious? You're not even blond."

Melody slid her pitch-black braid on her shoulder and began undoing her long hair. "Whatever, who said you had to be blond to do it?"

The movie  Atlas thought. But Melody continued to ramble before Atlas could vocalize her thoughts.

"I've always wanted to try it, but Will always tells me to take my work seriously and stuff. But, nobody's here except you, and you only have a slight cut," she said, trying to sound as convincing as she could.

Atlas rolled her eyes. "Fine." She stuck her hand out, and Melody excitingly began wrapping her straight hair around Atlas' finger. She closed her eyes and concentrated.

She began to sing:

 "Flower, gleam, and glow

Let your powers shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fates' design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine

What once was mine."

She exhaled and opened her eyes, but to her disappointment, her finger remained cut.

Atlas chuckled. "Did you really think that would work?"

Melody rolled her eyes. "Just take the bandaid." She shoved the box of bandaids at her friend and walked back to her seat. She slumped back in her chair. Apollo was no fun sometimes. She guessed only boring hymns to her father worked, and those hymns never made her hair glow.
