Tw: mention of sh and relapsing

A/n: I didn't proofread this so idk if it makes sense.

*At the bau*

We all walked in and went to Hotch's office where he was waiting for us. JJ walked in after us and we all looked at each other saying nothing until I broke the silence.

Y/n: You wanted to talk?

Hotch: Yes, look I get the three of you are very upset but you have to understand that we did it for Emily's safety.

Y/n: I get that, this whole thing just overwhelmed me

Hotch: I understand

JJ: y/n I'm sorry

Y/n: Right...

JJ: I am, I wanted to tell you but-

Hotch: JJ I think it's best if you gave them some other time instead of talking to them when they're still upset

Reid: Can we go now?

Hotch: Yes, but finish your paperwork before you leave

We all nodded and left to our desks. No one said anything, we all just got to work in silence. Both me and Emily got up to get coffee, at this point I started to feel bad and just wanted to hug her. She turned around to look at me and I walked up to her, hugging her. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes and then pulled away from each other. Neither of us said anything yet, I felt my hand being pulled into hers making the both of us smile. We were interrupted when we heard someone clear their throat (idk what it's called), the both of us pulled away and looked to see Rossi standing across from us.

Rossi: I wanted to let both of you know that the team is coming over to my place for a cooking lesson if the both of you would like to come

Y/n: I'll be there

Emily: Me too

~time skip~

The doorbell rang and I yelled out to Rossi that I would get it and quickly ran to open it. Turned out to be Emily, we both smiled at each other but still said nothing. It's like we both didn't know what to say or do. I could kiss her. We both walked back to Rossi's kitchen and waited for the rest of the team to come.

Everyone said their goodbyes to each other as they got into their cars and left. Emily and I were the last ones to leave, we said our goodbyes and got into our cars. I was about to drive off when my passenger car door opened as Emily got in my car.

Y/n: Come in?
Emily: Can I stay at your place tonight?
Y/n: Yeah of course

We both walked into my apartment to be greeted by Sergio and my cat Honey. Sergio went straight to Emily and rubbed himself against her leg, purring slightly.

Emily: You kept him?
Y/n: Yeah, me and Penelope took him when you know.

She nodded and picked Sergio up as she followed me to my room. Emily had already slept in my bed before so it wasn't too awkward when the both of us laid down next to each other. I was having trouble sleeping so I turned over to Emily and wrapped my arm around her, pulling her closer to me as I closed my eyes to fall asleep.

~morning~
The loud ringing of my phone wakes me up and I quickly answer it, we have another case so I quickly got dressed as I heard Emily's phone start ringing followed by her growing as she answered it.

~another time skip cause yeah~

*in the elevator*

Emily: so when did you relapse?

Y/n: Do you want me to tell you the truth?

Emily: of course

Y/n: The night you died

The elevator doors opened and I walked through the glass doors and to my desk as Emily followed behind me. I turned around and gave her a sad smile as I sat down at my desk. JJ came from her office telling us to meet in the briefing room (IDK what it's called tbh), all of us groaned as we got up from our chairs and went in and sat down.

*in the jet*

I sat next to Reid as we all discussed the case and what we thought was the reason for the killings. Hotch told us each where to go and with who, and of course, he made me and Reid go with JJ. I know she had no choice but to lie about Emily being alive for our own safety and for Emily's but it still hurt that she was the only one who knew besides Hotch. She sat down next to us and the both of us slowly moved away from her as we talked to each other about a book we were both readings. Reid and I became close after Emily's death since we were always there for each other whenever we were having a bad day. Reid and I pretty much live together, I have some of my stuff at his place and he has some of his stuff at mine. The both of us only talked to the rest of the team if we had to, I didn't know about Reid but I didn't really feel like talking to anyone. I'm still trying to focus on myself and that's not really easy right now.

Once the jet landed we all went our separate ways.

Reid: so Beth got off here and headed north to her class

JJ: It's amazing how no one witnessed her abduction

Y/n: Emily was buried six feet and wound up in Paris, I guess anything is possible right?

JJ: So that is what this is about?

Reid: You know maybe our unsub is more like Bundy and he fakes an injury in order to get her to help him.

JJ: hey guys if you want to talk about-

Y/n: Maybe he tried something like "wow you're really pretty you should be a model, I can take your photo.

JJ: I'll take that as a no

Reid: Either one would disarm her

JJ: Charms quite the killer

Reid: so are tears. Whatever it was the unsub is most likely using that to get his victims in his vehicle.

JJ: He was last seen at a bus stop a few miles from here so he does have a good vehicle for transportation.

Y/n: hopefully the disposal site will tell us more.

With that, the three of us walked back to the SUV and drove back to the police department to discuss the unsub more with the team.
