"You cried just because I was smiling with someone else."2 YEARS LATER
Kim Taehyung, Queendrome of Ghosts
"Come on, come on. You're so close!" Jungkook cheered repeatedly in full belief but his face was overflowing with doubt.
"Agh!" Grunting firmly, my chest crashed to the floor; Jungkook could only mutter in disappointment but it was no surprise to anyone.
"I really thought we could see you do one push up for the first time man." His head bopped down low as his fingers smeared around his forehead, collecting all his sweat.
"My energy is all drained out today, maybe tomorrow?" Reusing the same damn excuse again, I lifted my weak body up and sat next to him.
Like always, Jungkook chortled: "You said that yesterday."
"Being a therapist isn't easy, it takes all my time and energy." Feeling ashamed, I attempted to create an excuse.
Males were supposed to be tough, strong, not weak. I was childish, though my youth was nearly ending.
"Eh, being a trainee also isn't easy, besides I'm sick today yet I beated you in all the courses." Nonchalantly, the twenty year old replied to me; I could detect that he felt proud of himself.
Letting out a laugh as my arm rested on his shoulder, "As long as you're happy, I can be a laughingstock."
"But Taehyung, the war isn't some joking matter. It's coming soon, if you.." The twenty-one year old ghost voice collapsed into an inaudible tone.
"If I what?" Intrigued, I questioned.
"If you, well... Continue to be this weak, how can you go through this? We have to destroy Earth, it's not some joking matter." Both Jungkook's voice and the agonizing atmosphere controlled my hope, drowning it away.
"I know, don't worry I'll get better." Full of certainty, yet I was in displeasure. My hands rubbed hard to burst heat but nothing changed; snatching the twenty-one year old's water bottle, chucking down to my dry throat.
"Everything is just so hectic but boring." Jungkook blurts out with a mouth full of chocolate. Eyes fixed on a man in front of him in the centre; training to become violent.
"It's a loop, work, train and sleep," I replied.
Everything scared me, the training, the plans. What did everyone have in mind? Why all of a sudden does everyone want a new world in their hands? Why? Why did they want war?
