Jungkook POV: Queendrome of Ghosts:
Splitting away from Taehyung wasn't exactly planned but the second I saw Namjoon, I decided to follow him. It all happened naturally, it wasn't a choice that I declared. Honestly, this night wouldn't be any different either way.
Talking at events was more of a necessary daily exercise than something enjoyable; it always felt timewasting. Without even knowing so, my hands reached down to my phone which was hidden in the pant's pockets. Claiming the prize, my fingers shuffled against the screen to open social media accounts.
Indescribably, I had this sort of obsession on looking at comments and digging down deeper on how the public depicted me. Was it like how I saw myself? Maybe there wasn't any opinion at all, even if Bighit was passionate to promote our nearly debuting group over limits, it wouldn't provide us enough attention.
I always ended up stumbling over a few comments: some bad, some good. The good ones never said much, maybe just a few emojis of gratitude and excitement but the sour ones were brutal and detailed, making them more obvious.
"Still on social media?" A voice opposite me over the long table woke me up from staring at the phone.
Flashing a quick smile and creating an answer: "No, Namjoon just checking..."
"Checking comments on us to see if you can improve?" Namjoon answered his own question, cutting me off, his lips turned into a smile creasing his face.
"Ye-no-I mean." Confused, I decided to stop.
"Who cares anyway? You're only twenty one, have fun before you debut and lose it all," Namjoon replied, gesturing to close the phone.
"Sure, but Jin's like twenty five? And he still hasn't debuted." I added on, waiting for a reply from the stumped man.
"Oh. But that's because he came into this realm, he was only a kid, only five Jungkook so he had love and care for his adoptive ghosts and..." Before Namjoon could carry on a story I knew from the back of my hand, I interrupted him.
"Yeah, yeah he was naturally rich so no need to worry about being unemployed and his debut was supposed to be years ago but shit happened so it keeps on getting postponed so he had to join us." Retelling the story in short words, I took a fake sip of juice since I wasn't in the mood for anything.
