"Riei... Why? Why do I feel like if I let go of this hand, I'll never see you again?" His pale wrist felt cold in her fingers, but she knew that these were the hands that had taught her how to hold on, yet wanting to set her free.

"I-I don't want this... I don't want us to end like this..." Tears threatened to spill from the corner of her eyes.

At the time, the emotion in his eyes was oceans deep. The scene in front of him made his heart ache. It seemed like a needle was piercing his heart, and it ached, so much, but he knew he had to endure.

"Hey, hey, Towa, Look at me..." He tilted her head so that her eyes met his. "Look at me... You'll be fine... You'll be with your twin sister... your real parents... your family. This is the place where you belong."

"But—"

Slowly, he moved his fingers to her cheeks, cupping them with both hands and caressing the pouring tears with his thumbs. "Towa... don't cry... There is no such thing as an eternal farewell in this life. Surely, time will pass throughout the era... but... I will always protect you."

"No matter what happens, I'll always protect you." Riei then drew her into his arms and pressed his lips on her eyelids.

She closed her eyes and knew that in his arms is where she belong.

"Just for a while... please wait."

Hello everyone! Welcome to my new fanfiction which is the crossover of Yashahime and Nurarihyon no Mago. Just like my previous crossover fanfic, the OC is the son of Nura Rikuo and Tsurara from Nurarihyon no Mago.

I know I should be updating my other work (See You), but I just feel the need to post this. I had the idea about the OC in my head for the longest of time and I feel that with Yashahime finally airing, the story can developed further. Plus, I'm a sucker for crossovers haha.

Let me know if this story has potential. I'm still debating whether to do a full story or just a one-shot
