6. Stressed out

Serena pov:
"About about this; just say it." Dizzy said and I looked at her.
"I can't just say it!" I said.
"Why not? It's pretty accurate." Mal said and I looked at her.
"I can't just say: hey guys, guess what? I'm a transgender called Serena!" I said and Dizzy facepalmed herself.
"Okay, how about this. We'd just hang out with the core four, probably with the Smee twins since they'd get confused otherwise. Then ee talk for a bit and once you feel comfortable; you'd say it." Mal suggested.
"And if I wouldn't feel comfortable?" I whined.
"You will, I'm sure of it!" Dizzy said with a huge smile and I sighed.
"Hey, I never said when..." Mal said and she put a hand on my shoulder.
I looked at her and Dizzy sat down next to me.
"Maybe this weekend? Then we'd have a week time to prepare plus... You wouldn't have to be stuck with the wrong pronounces that long." Dizzy said and I sighed.
"Okay..."
"Don't worry. We've got your back." Mal said and I closed my eyes for a brief moment as tried to keep myself from freaking out.
Dizzy's phone buzzed.
"It's Evie... She asks if I-"
"Have fun." I said and she hurried away.
Mal sat down on the spot where Dizzy sat a minute ago.
"Hey, you'll be okay. Hell, Evie would get so excited when you'd say it. Carlos would be supper supportive and understanding. And Jay, believe it or not. He'd have respect for you that you'd have the guts to say it."
"Having the guts? Really?"
"Crap- I didn't mean it like that-" Mal said and I shrugged.
"It's fine..."
"It's getting late... Are you coming for dinner in the cafeteria here at the campus or would you come with me and the others to eat off campus?"
"I... I'm going to the cafeteria and take it with me back to my dorm... Avoiding people."
"Understandable... I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
I nodded and Mal left.

Okay so that week passed by way too quickly.
Dizzy and Mal met up with me as the others were already by the enchanted lake, where we'd hang out... and where I'd come out...
"You good?" Mal asked as we were walking towards the enchanted lake.
"Y- yea..." I mumbled.
"Nervous?" Dizzy asked.
"Y- yea..." I mumbled.
"It's going to be fine. And if you don't feel comfortable enough, you just don't say it." Mal said as she tried to reassure me.
"Yea... I know..." I mumbled.
Those two just had to shut up so I could actually try to calm down...

"Hey there you are!" Carlos said as he saw us.
"Yea we're here!" Dizzy said and Mal practically made me sit down next to her, Ben was sitting on the other side of her.
Wait- why was Ben here?!
I looked at Mal and she seemed to read my mind.
"Sorry, forgot to mention that Ben would be here too..." she said.
"What's the problem with Ben being here?" Evie asked.
"Nothing... I ehh... Just thought this was VK's only." I said quickly, I mean technically it wasn't a lie.
"Okay, so what should we do?"
"We could just talk for a bit y'know. Catch up with the new four VK's." Carlos said and I got nervous.
"Yea, Dizzy, how have things been going between you and your grandmother?" Evie asked and Mal looked at me.
"What?" I said softly.
"Nothing." she said quickly and Ben eyed at me.
Relax Ben, not interested in her...

After a while, I got an idea. I didn't need to tell everyone at once...
I could just pull them aside... during the next week; not ready yet.
