amelia gulped as she saw freddy sit in the corner of a cafe near their apartment/hotel building. she was about to turn around and text him she couldn't do it, when kal barked and ran towards freddy.

well, i guess i don't have a choice in this, amelia thought as freddy laughed, patted kal's head and looked up at her. "hey," freddy said as she sat down in front of him. "i order you food."

"oh," amelia said. "what'd you get?"

"i got you pesto and a mango shake. i also got an omelette for kal," freddy said, nonchalantly. as though he didn't just admit to remembering his ex-girlfriend's favourite food and drink.

a few seconds later, a waiter came by and gave both freddy and amelia pestos, amelia's mango shake and kal's omelette. then, fifteen minutes go by and it's just silence.

"so... what do we do now?" freddy eventually asks and amelia, who's been drinking her mango shake instead of talking, awkwardly removes the straw in her mouth.

"look, i, well, okay so," amelia stammers her words before taking a deep breath. "i know you're very into supporting the choose love organization, which i admire, and i've donated as much money i can to different charities. i've had this idea for a couple of years now and i've never been able to do it because... well, i've never really been friends with my ex."

freddy smiles at this. "so, we're friends now?"

"yes, we're friends," amelia says with a teasing smile, "are we not?"

"no, no, we're friends," he said and amelia could feel her heart flutter. friends don't make each other's hearts flutter.

"anyways, the idea was that we could make a podcast and talk about the details of our relationship. you know, how we met, how we got together, why we broke up. those things. then, we'd sell the podcast to the highest paying bidder, split the money and donate it to whatever charity we chose from."

freddy blinks. that was not what he expected, though he liked the idea. "will people be interested in it, our story, though? i'm sure the media would like to know more about you and tom hiddleston. perhaps you and andrew garfield."

"not necessarily. you're a rising actor, people will be curious about you. adding to the fact that i will be playing your love interest in a show that has a lot of fans. i'm sure people will be interested," amelia said. "though, this will give you some spotlight, people might forever brand you as 'amelia pugh's ex' so i suggest you talk to your pr team."

fredd nods his head, "okay, i like the idea... i'll get back to you in a couple of days, sounds good?"

"yeah," amelia nods.

the three—freddy, amelia, and kal—eat in silence for the rest of the morning.
