You take a deep breath, " Someone that I knew. Well, a little bit. E-Earlier, they tried to talk to me and I was rude and now they're dead. And I didn't even get a chance to apologize!".
" What did you do?"
You turn to him," They had asked something about if I was busy, probably trying to ask if we could hang out. B-but I panicked because of my past and- I've never had a good relationship with anyone... I kind of ran away..."
You realized you were shaking a bit. You had guilt, and that probably wouldn't go away. They could be counted as your only friend here, and now they're gone. You felt terrible.
" It's alright, it was out of your control"
You quickly nod and take a few more deep breaths. 049 waited for you to say you were ready.
You sigh and mumble an apology before walking past the body. 049 followed. You walked for a bit more, 049 ended up walking ahead of you again. You went to turn the corner but 049 stopped you, again.
" What?" you ask. But then you heard crying again. Guess you're detour was pointless.
" This is unfortunate, what do you suppose we do?"
You think before hearing what sounded like the chime of an elevator in the distance. 049 seemed to not hear it though. Oh, thank god! Someone is here! They can deal with 096.
But, I guess you're adventure with 049 ends here.
They find you two and take him back. You'll get somewhere safe. But... how do you explain this? And would they believe you?
You walk back a bit and lean on a wall.
" What are you doing?"
You smile at 049 before putting a finger over your mouth and pointing to your ear.
Now 049 heard it. People running down the hall. Presumably all guards.
" Guess that deals with him," he said.
You sit down and wait. You really did not want to be part of whatever happened.
You heard yelling, gunshots...
You ignored it, pulling out the music box again to distract yourself.
It suddenly all stopped. You look up and realize you hadn't really been paying much attention to anything.
You walk over and look around the corner. No one was there.
" Huh? Where did they go?"
You turn around to see 049 right behind you, it almost made you jump.
He ignored your question," Come on".
You sigh, I guess it's not over yet.
