Breaking the rules (SCP-049 x reader)

Chapter 7

The elevator started to move up. It was silent, you could probably have heard a pin drop. The door opens and you start to go down one of the hallways. But 049 stopped you.

" I wouldn't go that way"

" What why?"

You listen... Crying...096?

" I wonder how he got up here..."

You look around for another path, you had to get to that office and the quickest path you knew was down that hallway.

" Where exactly are we going, Y/N?"

" I am going to my dad's office. But now it seems I have to take an alternate route"

" What's in the office?"

" A map"

" Of this place? Why do you need that? I'm here"

You slightly laugh," Because there are things I bet you don't know. And where I need to get to is on that map. Once we get there, you go back to where you need to be".

" Well... If we go in the opposite direction we can take a few turns and basically walk in a circle towards that area," He replied, now in a different tone though.

You slightly smiled, this will all be over soon and I can forget this ever happened. Surely, I don't need him once I get the map.

" Alright, let's go"

You walk for a bit before starting to get tired. Your feet were killing you. Your pace started to slow, 049 noticed.

" Y/N, are you alright?"

You walk over to the wall and sit. " My feet..."

" It hasn't even been that long"

You cross your arms, " I've been walking around all day!".

You sit down against the wall.

049 sat next to you, " I understand ".

You rolled your eyes. You reach in your pocket and pull out the music box. 049 looks over and stares at it.

" What? Never seen a music box?" you ask.

" I have once or twice. Why do you have it?"

" Oh, found it the other day. It was my moms"

" Was? Did she give it to you randomly one day or..?"

" She's... not around anymore, if that's what you mean," you say.

" Can I hear it?"

You put it away and stood up," Maybe later, we should get going".

049 did want to hear it, but at this time it wasn't important. 

You walked down the hall, eventually seeing bodies...

All were guards.

Strangely it didn't affect you too much. You kind of expected it. Maybe you felt a little bad about it though...

049 looked around, " This happened a while ago...".

" That's good, right?"

" Most likely"

You walk a bit more. This place was a bit of a maze. Even 049 got a little confused on where to go.

But then...

You stop. Backing up and almost tripping and knocking over both you and 049.

What did you see?

A body, but this time it was different. It was the body of your colleague who you had spoken to earlier. You remembered how you acted the last time you saw them.

049 knew there was something about this person that meant something to you, considering how you reacted the last time you walked past dead people. But, who was this person?

" Y/N... Who is that?"
