pairing ‣ Finn Huang x Norman Gilman (Finn Huang x Norman Gorman)

prompt ‣ roommates in university AU

notes ‣ this idea was given to me by Sharon (the-water-city) in a comment in Winter Cold, and I just HAD to write it. tho I changed Norman's last name to Gorman because I thought it was Gorman for ten minutes when I was doing character charts, and since this is an AU anyway, Norman's last name is now Gorman. after all, in some alternate universe, it's actually true. also, please excuse the probably a million typos in this, and I hope you enjoy!

IN THE FACE of adversary, eat ice cream.

Finn certainly thought the advice was applicable when one had a history teacher who cared more about economics than actual history, so as he turned on his laptop to check his email, he bit into a large spoonful of the Moose Track ice cream Alexandra had gotten him as a housewarming gift.

He didn't need a teacher whose apathy toward history rivaled his own.

Typing in his password, he waited for the page to load and then saw that his most recent email was from Ignatius. Clicking on the second most recent email, he saw that the school had emailed the students about their policy on switching rooms. Finn scoffed. His supposed roommate, Norman Gorman (who even has a name that rhymes? Finn knew it had to be a fake name), hadn't shown up, so he wouldn't even know if he wanted to switch rooms yet. Deleting the email, he licked the spoon clean as he braced himself for the contents of Ignatius's email. After all, last time Finn opened an email by Ignatius, he had gotten a Google Drive folder with all the episodes of Princess Princess. He would've prefered a virus.

Clicking the email, he saw this time he received thirteen episodes of Wolf Girl and Black Prince, a show Ignatius wrote he "is embarrassed to even like". Finn rolled his eyes, since those were the same words he said about almost every show Ignatius sent Finn, including Princess Princess. (Finn never actually watched the show and opted to read a summary of each episode online. Hopefully Ignatius would never find out.)

Keeping the spoon in his mouth with his tongue, he opened Google Hangouts and saw Ignatius was online. Hi, Finn sent.

Hey, Finn, Ignatius messaged back a few seconds later. Wassup?

A minute passed as Finn stared at the greeting. He never understood what was the appropriate response to that word was.

Nevermind, I forgot you think lingo is weird, Ignatius sent after two minutes of silence. Anyway, you want to know what Wolf Girl is about, don't you?

Yes, Finn replied, slowly taking the spoon out of his mouth and scooping some more ice cream. He would probably be done with the tub by the time his conversation with Ignatius was over.

A girl takes a picture of a random guy and tells her friends that he's her boyfriend but he turns out to be this popular kid at their school who may or may not be sadistic when he's not being "super princely" and basically they fall in love. the manga's better, but you wouldn't even read any manga I recommend. Rutta to Kodama is so good and yet you won't read it!! The sentence looked like there should be some emojis at the end, but thankfully Ignatius was on a computer and couldn't type Japanese emojis on the keyboard (could he?). Though Finn stared at the "may or may not be sadistic" part, because what in the world was Ignatius even watching?
