I fell out of my bed as the annoying beeping came from my alarm clock. I groaned and hit my alarm clock. It's Monday! Yay! Note my sarcasm.
I hopped into the shower and washed my hair and body. I hopped out and dried myself off. I blow dried my hair and straightened it and kept it down. I went to my closet and picked out my outfit and slipped it on (outfit at the top). I went back to my bathroom and did my makeup and walked downstairs. I grabbed a banana and quickly ate it on my way to the door. I grabbed my bag and slipped my shoes on and rode to school.
When I arrived the usual whistles filled the air. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. I walked over to Milla, Hayes, and Matt at the front. "Why were those guys whistling like that to you?" Matt asked as we walked into the school. "Uh apparently because I'm a cheerleader I'm automatically hot or whatever but I'm not hot so I don't know what they see in me." I said chuckling. But you are pretty I heard faintly. I didn't acknowledge it so I shrugged it off.
We went to our separate lockers and went to our first period. The day seemed to go by quickly and by now it was lunch. I walked in and got chips and a water bottle because I swear the lunch ladies are trying to poison us. I walked outside and sat down at "our tree." We call it our tree because nobody ever comes to this tree and we carved our names in it on the first day of freshman year.
The squad showed up and we talked and laughed. "Hey Audrey! Why don't you come and sit on my lap, it's probably dirty on the ground. And you probably don't want to be with that loser new kid, right?" This douche, Mason, called to me. Matt looked down and played with his fingers. I was steaming. He could mess with me but not my friends.
I stood up and walked over to him. He stood up and smirked thinking he would get something out of this. I kicked him where the sun don't shine. I bent down and said "I would gladly sit on the ground over a dirty lap like yours. And by the way, you are not even half of the man Matt is. He is sweet and funny and most of all, respectful. So you can take your lap and yourself somewhere far away from my friends and I or I will make the next hit extra painful."
A chorus of OOs came from the people around us. I waltzed back to my group and sat down. "What?" I asked once I saw that they were looking at me like they've met a celebrity. "That. Was. Amazing!" Matt said. He walked over to me and engulfed me in a huge hug. "Thank you so much." He said into my hair. "Anything for my besties." I laughed. I saw his face sink but I didn't know why?
It was the end of the day and I was getting ready to drive off to my house. I started my motorcycle but I was stopped as I saw Hayes run up to me. "Hey uh I'm having a lot of trouble in geometry and I was wondering if you could tutor me?" He asked. "Sure why not?" I said smiling.
He hopped onto the back and we rode to the library. We went in and sat at an empty table. We started with the basics and worked our way up. We were almost done with his last unit when he looked up at me. He started leaning in.

-I knew this wasn't right. I got up and he just awkwardly sat there.
"Sorry." He said. "Sorry?! Are you kidding?! Have you not acknowledged Milla's existence? She obviously likes you a lot, crapface!" I started but the librarian shushed me. I rolled my eyes at her. "You guys would have been a great couple! But no! You threw it away! I can tell you a have feelings for her too! What is wrong with you!" I lectured quieter.
He just sat there awkwardly. I scoffed and grabbed my things to leave. I was about to leave when I felt a hand on my wrist. "I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have done that. You just looked... So pretty. And you have no idea, I really like Milla. But... I don't know... I'm sorry." He apologized. I sighed and sat down again. "It's okay... Just don't do it again!" I said and laughed.
