My mouth opened soundly with a yawn, the feeling of a full night's rest satisfied my aching mind and body. "what time is it?" Whatever time it was, I knew that it wasn't the normal time I get up. In fact... Sebastian is supposed to wake me up in the morning, it can't be that he's still avoiding me, right? I was hoping I would be able to talk to him, I guess I'll have to find the right moment to do so.
I get up determined to figure out what our duties are today and quickly get dressed. I looked in the mirror, feeling satisfied with my attire, I leave my room and headed to the first place I could think of, Ciel's courters. It's past the time Ciel gets up in the morning, so he's most likely in there discussing last night's events.
Speaking of last night's events... I wonder if it was me hallucinating that dark figure last night, that doesn't explain how this random key was left with me, though only time could tell the true reasoning for this. Hopefully, soon that is.
I knocked on the door before entering inside and didn't hear a response. "that's odd, Ciel? are you in here?" I open the door and peep inside to only find nothing but his desk and papers strawn all over it. I drew closer to it and lifted up a clean ironed-out newspaper with big bold words saying "ANOTHER MYSTERIOUS ATTACK, A coffee house in Piccadilly Circus severely damaged."
Again huh? Not all that surprising as I knew this would happen but I guess I lost track of time during everything that's been happening so far. I set the paper down and head out the courters to go downstairs. Meeting Mey-rin on the way I stop her, with a hand on her shoulder.
"Goodmorning Mey-rin, you wouldn't happen to know where Ciel and Sebastian are would you?" She looked startled for a second then thought for a moment, "Oh yes! They are in the Lounge room with Lau at the moment, yes they are!" She informed with a quirky smile,
"Ah I see, well thank you, I'll see you around Mey-rin." She nodded her head quickly and turned to walk up the stairs, almost tripping over her own feet. I walk down and head to join in with the rest. As I got closer I could hear voices inside,
"That is true though...I cant see why those two would cause trouble, it just doesn't seem likely in this case." Ciel's voice could be heard faintly inside, it's probably not a good idea to just sit here and listen to them from the outside of the room, so I knock, hearing the door open with a click Sebastian is revealed behind it. He bows opening it and stepping aside. I walk in and pass him with a glare in his direction. He averted his gaze subtly, looking towards the two inside to avoid my penetrating stare.
"So glad you could join us (Y/N), it seems another attack has been reported earlier, I assume you've had time to read the papers?" My eyes tore away from Sebastian, Ciel didn't seem to notice this. "Yes I did, you wouldn't mind me joining this discussion would you?" I asked, I'm eager to join them on another 'mission', and hopefully, I'll be able to speak with Sebastian as well.
"Not at all, we were hoping to look more into Agni and Soma. It doesn't seem likely that it is them, but we can't be sure until we investigate further into this."
He seemed intent on figuring this out, although I know exactly what happens, I can't help but to stay quiet and let them do this on their own. It's almost like watching the show again, waiting to see what happens next is almost exciting, to say the least.
I hum and get a bit closer to the table, Lau sat across from Ciel on a sofa with a table in the middle. I take a seat next to him across from Ciel, grabbing a copy of the newspaper myself and reading it further.
Ciel sighed, "Even if they do have a problem with the Anglo Indians returning to England, attacking them in such a fashion is too risky."
"That is true, you also have to take into account that if they were criminals, they chose to stay with you while searching for Meena." I entertained the discussion with an already thought up conclusion of my own, Of all the people they could have chosen, they decided that here would be a good idea. I'm sure Ciel isn't ruling them out though, they are the main suspects after all.
From the corner of my eye, I see that Sebastian noticed me entertaining the idea and peered at me, he knows that I have the answers they are looking for, but he also knows he can't do anything to get it from me. It's a good thing we aren't really on talking terms, otherwise, he would have tried to bring it up.
"They don't seem all that 'suspicious' do they?" I questioned, Ciel, set the paper down, and sighed. His mind was probably brainstorming something to help with the matter.
"Well, they are coming back sometime in the evening from their trip, so it would be best to wait until they leave to go back out to find Meena, we will follow them from there, and head back here before they do." Lau satisfied with Ciel's plan sits back lazily,
"What do you propose we do until then?" Lau asked with a smirk. Hmm, the manga nor the anime never really did show what they did until night-time hit. I'm assuming that Ciel has to deal with Soma's shenanigans just like last time they were here and the day goes on like normal.
"We do what we do normally and wait till night to follow, until then, just get to your duties while Lau and I await their arrival." Ciel turned away from us and continued to do his job and study into the investigation.
I nod and get up, noticing Sebastian has already left the room, I quickly leave and look down the hallway. Seriously?? Seeing nothing, I let out a frustrated sigh and headed to look for the demon.
It's been quite a few months and I apologize for leaving you all out here to dry. I'm mostly going to be editing and trying to push out chapters. So until then please bare with my erratic updates!
