FairyTail: Soul Bound

Prologue

Erza found herself marching along a dirt road towards Magnolia, just as she had many times before on her journey back to the guild.

This particular mission had left her quite worn out, so she had taken her time returning.

However he walk back had gone astray, as she was carrying an individual in her arms.

A young boy, who couldnt possibly be any older than ten years old. He was wearing ragged and torn clothes. As if he had been living on the road.

She had found a pair of bandits attacking him. She managed to stop them before they did too much damage. But he was still worse for ware.

He had dirty gray hair with black tips. It looked as if it were loose and ragged. He had a pale complexion, he was extremely weak.

Every so often Erza swore she could see the tips of his hair light up, a purple glow flickering to life.

Slowly but surely she made her way into town, making sure to keep a steady but quiet pace. As not to wake the child.

Luckily the guild seemed to be quiet when she arrived, only a few remaining members being left.

She was able to slip in nearly unnoticed, save for the old guildmaster, who had been sitting at the bar.

Just as Erza set the child down and tucked him under the blanket in the infirmary, she turned around. Stopping as she was met face to face with Makarov.

"And just what is it you think you are doing?" Makarov asked curiously.

For a brief moment. Erza stammered over her words before calming herself, taking a deeo breath.

"I found him being assaulted by a few thugs outside of town. I was hoping we could help him find his parents once he wakes up" Erza explained formally, earning a chuckle from the old guild master.

"And here I thought you had taken to kidnapping random children" Makarov said with a laugh.

Erza simply glared at the small man, earning a nervous chuckle from him as he cleared his throat.

"Well if you believe that is what is best. Then we shall let him rest, we will find his home once he wakes up proper"
