FairyTail: Soul Bound

The New Guild Member

Sam found himself standing anxiously next to Erza, hiding behind her ever so slightly.

He was wearing a new pair of black pants and a new red jacket that the older wizard had got him.

"Alright everyone listen up!" Erza called out sternly. Near instantly causing the guild to fall silent.

"We have a new guild member. This is Sam" Erza introduced, gently placing her hand on Sam's head.

"I expect all of you to look out for him as you would everyone else. Understood?" Erza finished. Earning a series of responses from the other guild members.

After a moment of waiting Erza returned her attention to Sam. A soft smile forming on her face.

"Let's go see Mira, she can give you your guild mark" Erza said, gently taking Sam's hand into her own.

Sam nodded quietly as he followed Erza, being gently tugged along by her.

Sam was stuck in a daze as he followed along. Everything was moving so fast.

He had been on the road for so long that no less than a day ago he had been exhausted.

Yet here he was. In the fairytail guild hall, stood right next to the one Wizard he idolized more than anyone else.

Still he felt an unending wave of anxiety wash over him.

However before he could dwell any further in his thoughts. He was snapped back to reality.

"Well aren't you a cutie?" 'Mirajane said sweetly as Sam shook his head. Not having been mentally present during the introduction.

Mira gently took Sam's hand, pressing a stamp down on it, producing a purple glow.

"There you go sweetheart. Welcome to the guild!" Mira said in her usual sweet tone of voice. Standing up as she did.

Sam looked to the back of his right hand. A half smile crossing the visible part of his face.

With his excitement visibly growing, Sam's eyes, the tips of his hair and even his new guild mark started to glow a bright purple.

Both Mira and Erza's eyes widened in surprise at the display, despite the strange nature of it. They both found it quite heartwarming.

"So this is the new kid?" Cana asked as she approached the trio

Near instantly Erza covered Sam's eyes with her hand, earning a confused "huh" from him.

"Cana. Put on a shirt or something!" Erza stated in exasperation

"This is what I wear all the time" Cana said in retort with a blank stare. Clearly not amused.

"Exactly. And I have been meaning to speak to you about it" 'Erza said sternly. Placing her hands on her Hips, causing Mira to replace her hand over Sam's eyes'

Un aware of what was happening. Sam felt Mira embrace him, using her hands to now cover his ears, as he was turned away from the commotion.

Before he could react his face was engufled in a plush softness. Essentially negating the attempt to distract him from the ongoing scene.

"There are plenty of children that come in here" Erza finished, a clearly annoyed tone in her voice as Cana stood slumped.

"Okay...I'll go grab my jacket" Cana said in defeat. Earning a sigh of relief from Erza.

Erza turned around. A vein visibly bulging on her head as she looked to Mira.

She was gently holding embracing Sam, using her hands to cover his ears, having unknowingly buried his face in her chest.

"Mira" Erza said sternly. Catching her attention.

Upon realizing what she aas doing. Mira pulled back from the hug. Revealing Sam to have a confused expression accompanied by a bright purple blush across his face.

"Oops"
