Chapter 9

Everybody in the Madrigals heard that you and Bruno started dating. They all congratulate you and both of you guys are embarrassed. The madrigals invited Y/N again to dinner and Y/N accepted it. Y/N sat beside Bruno and Abuela lets everyone eat tonight's dinner. Y/N took a few vegetables and Bruno noticed but he didn't say anything. He notice that Y/N didn't eat a lot that night and decided to talk to Y/N about it.

Bruno knock on Y/N's door and Y/N yelled "Come in!". Bruno entered and Y/N was sitting on the couch, watching the television. "Hey, how's your day?" Bruno ask. "It was nice." Y/N responded back. "Do you want some popcorn?" Y/N questioned Bruno. Bruno wave his hand as a no. "Suit yourself." Y/N told him and continue to eat the popcorn. They both sat in silence like always until one of them spoke up. "Hey uhm... have you always been eating a small portion of food?" Bruno said and Y/N froze. "Huh?" Y/N was dumbfounded.

"I've noticed that you've been eating a little bit." Bruno pointed out and Y/N got nervous. "Well.. I'm always full so I don't eat a lot." Y/N came up with an excuse to possibly convince Bruno. "I feel like there's other reasons why you don't eat a lot, Y/N." Bruno said. His face became a serious one and Y/N gulped. Y/N shift a little in their seat and continue to watch the television, completely ignoring Bruno. "Are you ignoring me..?" Bruno realized and scoot closer to Y/N.

"Look, I know you don't wanna talk about it but I'm here." Bruno said, taking a hold of Y/N unoccupied hand. Y/N sigh. "My ex..." Y/N started. Bruno hum in question. "I had an abusive ex before and he always bodyshame me, saying how I look fat all the time and their hurts hurt me... a lot." Y/N continued and Bruno felt guilty. "I'm so sorry about that." Bruno said and gave a kiss on the cheek.

"Its alright. And that's why I eat a little bit." Y/N responded and probably lost the appetite to continue eating the popcorn. "Y/N." Bruno called. Y/N looked at him. "Just remember that you'll always look perfect in my eyes." He began. Y/N's eyes widen a bit. "I love you and who you are." Bruno kissed Y/N. Y/N blushed and kiss him back. They both pulled away. Their foreheads touching each other's. "Thanks, Bruno." Y/N thank him. Oh how Y/N is lucky enough to have Bruno as their boyfriend.

"You're such a sweet boyfriend, do you know that?" Y/N giggled and Bruno laughed. "I am?" He asked. "Yes.." Y/N cup his cheeks. They both spend their time together at Y/N's house, its either playing board games or just teasing each other back to back. They had fun that night and Bruno gets to stay over for tonight.
