"So how have you been Jeongguk-ah?"

Seokjin finally opt to ask,--finally clearing the cloud of silence around the two of them too--after another minute of waiting for Jeongguk to speak and not getting anything from it.

Well, they've been seated here--Jeongguk on the corner of the wide sofa and him on a single-seater armchair--for about 3 awkward minutes now actually, and the older figured that maybe Jeongguk won't try to speak up first so he just take mercy on him and take the honors on starting a conversation.

After all, he needs this talk to get going. He have a lot of questions to ask, and a lot more of things to say to the younger.

But Seokjin, he never really waited for this day to come. He actually hated this day and hoped that it will never happened anymore.

He prayed so much that they won't cross path anymore, ever again. He prayed so hard that this past won't chase him anymore. He prayed so hard.

But since Jeongguk brought it to him himself today then he might as well make it worth it now, right?

He might as well prove to Jeongguk that he made a mistake on not trusting him back then, right?

He might as well show to Jeongguk, now, that he is not that same Alpha he rejected 4 years ago anymore, right?

That's just the right thing to do now, right?

Just the best revenge, isn't it?

That'll satisfy the anger he's been carrying for years now, right?

'Yes, of course...' Seokjin's own mind answered him, solidifying his resolution even more.

"Jeongguk?" He called again to the younger who looks like too occupied in deep thoughts. "Did you hear me?"

"Y-yeah." Jeongguk immediately stuttered out, with hands trembling and eyes trained on looking at his cup of tea,--very unlike Seokjin's that are staring openly at him.-- "I-I've been good, h-hyung."

There's a tint of pink on his cheeks, and he kinda looks embarrassed --maybe because of what happened earlier,-- he's chewing on his lips unconsciously too, so there's no doubt that he's nervous right now.

But Seokjin, even with that knowledge in mind, still choose to be cruel.

"Yeah." He started, even nodding his head slowly to make himself look sympathetic, then he adds a, "It looks like you really do, Jeongguk-ah."

And for a short moment Jeongguk glance at him with curious eyes at that, probably wondering what he meant.

And damn!

He looks so innocent.

Suddenly Seokjin's thoughts zeroed to,

He's so beautiful. Jeongguk is beautiful. So beautiful. Still so beautiful.

4 years had passed but he still got that old way of making Seokjin mesmerize. Still have it all, in making Seokjin stunned at his presence.

But damn! Is he losing all his solid resolution just because of that damn look? really? That easy?

No, that can't be. So he cleared his throat and crossed his legs.

"By the way, Jeongguk-ah." He started again, looking at the coffee table this time, "Are you using scent blockers, by any chance?"

He's been wondering about this since he entered the room actually, been trying to check it in the air--for more times than he could admit to anyone,-- already too.
