The familiar sound of the double doors of Seokjin's office resonates in the room before it closed again automatically.
Then the familiar clack of a shoe hitting the tiled floor starts to resonate in the room. Coming closer and closer to where Jeongguk is--hiding--inside his cubicle.
"Jeon come out, we still have a lot of stuff to do today."
Jeongguk obeyed, going out of his cubicle to face Seokjin.
"I-I'm sorry Mr. Kim, I--"
"Shut it, I don't need to hear excuses. Pick up your laptop and follow me to the design department."
"I--Mr. Kim. I-I can't go out there right now."
"What?"
"The-The former pack members are still out there so I--"
"You what? You want to hide from them? You want to ditch your work and avoid every single former pack members out there to protect yourself?"
Those are like arrows piercing Jeongguk's skin painfully, because it's true. That's what he really wants to do now.
What happened in the conference room earlier is already a lot for him to take in. Another more and he'll be pulling a resignation letter.
"Do you know how unprofessional you are earlier?" Seokjin pressed even more, "You run out of the conference room abruptly like you're some actor shooting a dramatic scene, then you hide here. Totally neglecting your job--You didn't even collect all of our things so I needed to call someone to do so. Now this? Aren't you going too far now Secretary Jeon? Are you doing this on purpose?"
"Mr. Kim--"
"You're inconveniencing me." Seokjin cuts off, "You're already lacking since the day you get here, You complain a lot, You talk back, You have a bad attitude, and now you even have the guts to say no to my orders? Why? Do you think you're the one in charge here? Did your former position in the pack get through your head that now you think you can boss anyone around here too?"
"You're the one going too far here Seokjin."
"What?" Seokjin chuckled unbelievingly.
"I said you are, going too far Mr. Kim."
Instead of being shocked, like how Jeongguk imagined him to react, Seokjin just smirked. He smirked like he's loving every bits of this confrontation. He smirked while waiting for the Jeongguk to continue.
"Do you really think I'm dumb? You think I won't know what you've been doing all this time hyung? Do you really think, that I won't know that you planned all this? And that you're trying to get your revenge from me?"
Like his smirk is not enough, Seokjin even chuckled at the last question thrown bravely at him.
"Oh, I got caught?" He asked sarcastically as he walks straight to Jeongguk's spot, "But what are you going to do about it? Can you do something about it Jeongguk-ah? Are you going to fight back now?"
"No, I'm resigning."
That came out bravely too, maturely even, and before Seokjin could form a childish retort to that, Jeongguk is already on his way to his cubicle.
"Where are you going?"
He quickly gathered all his things and put it in his backpack after pulling out the envelope of his resignation letter from his pocket. When he's done he finally go out of his cubicle again to slap the envelope on Seokjin's chest.
