Days passed since the wedding and that fateful encounter with the mysterious man at the Balcony and you wondered when will be the next time you'll talk to him.

It sucks that you didn't know his name, and it sucked even more that your phone died so you didn't get his number.

You wanted to ask your sister to ask Hina about the man's identity but you thought about the consequences of it—  her saying that you should stop fooling around then she'll become overprotective.

So you decided to shut up about it, it's nothing important right?

You were walking towards a café to get your daily fix of coffee since you forgot to buy a liter of cold brew for storage.

Then you heard your phone notified and it was one of your closest friends from high school who happens to be in the same city as you're right now.

Y/n where are you? You forgot
did you?
- Ayane

Oh fuck... you forgot about her birthday, well it's not your fault that she informed you weeks prior to her celebration. Who wouldn't forget with such a busy schedule?

You sighed and thought about a gift on the spot before heading home to hurriedly prepare.

And as your memory recalls, she loves her dog and how receiving any dog toys is considered one of the best gifts she'll receive.

She was always quirky and a bit weirder than most people, but hey, you're glad that she stuck by you 'til the age of 26

You searched in google for some pet shop nearby and the results popped out.

XJ Petshop

You smiled as it was only a 1km walk, so you started walking in the direction of the pet shop. Completely forgetting your morning coffee.

You arrived at the store to see no one was in there, you scanned your eyes around the area and it looks clean, one shelf was filled with pet necessities and the other of pet accessories.

You waited patiently if someone would pop out from the back, but no one did.

"Uh, hello?" You called out, your voice echoing through the shop's walls.

"Coming!" a low voice answered. You clasped your hands together while looking around for some possible gift to Ayane.

"Hello good morning, how may I be of service to you ma'am?" That familiar baritone of a voice spoke as your eyes still scanned at the toys and accessories.

"Hey uhm, I'm trying to find some gift for my friend, I wonder what would be—" then you looked up at the man beside you who was giving you a shit-eating yet welcoming smirk.
