I awoke to the sun shining in my eyes blinding the fuck out of me. I got up and yanked close the curtains. I headed to the bathroom to do my hygiene. I wanted to cook some breakfast before Lauren wakes up and heads to work. I turned on the water and touched it. I immediately retracted my hand when i felt it was ice cold. It is December in New York after all. I waited about two minutes for it to warm up and then i stuck my washcloth under it. I washed my face and brushed my teeth before quietly leaving the room. Lauren was a very light sleep i found that out the hard way.
