"Onika?" I turned around slowly to see my mom. She was by herself. I took my hand from Robyn's hand.
"You look healthy." She said eyeing me.
"Are you still doing that cosplaying?" She asked making me roll my eyes. I nodded.
"Mmm." Was all she said. She began eyeing Robyn and Lauren and i would fight her if she said anything about them.
"Is she cosplaying too?" She asked pointing to Lauren.
"Not that its any of your fucking business but no. She just has a loving girlfriend who didn't want to wake her up." I said with a attitude that could kill.
"Come back home and we can get this demon out of you." She said reaching out for me. I just backed up looking at the crazy ass lady.
"So where are you staying? With these devil spawns? You know same sex couples are a sin?" She asked Robyn. I looked at Robyn who was about to snap but i beat her to it.
"Leave me the fuck alone. You old miserable bitch. I'm genuinely happy more than I've ever been in my life. You made my life hell. You judged me for everything and you never let me have freedom. You were always my downfall and I'm 21 soon and i refuse to continue letting you be my downfall. You made me want to commit suicide everyday. I pray for that lil girl you brought up in here. The minute she strays from your beliefs you'll throw her to the wolves." I said walking away with my lil newfound family behind me.
"Are you okay Nika?" Robyn asks as we exited the building. I shook my head no as my tears started to fall. She just hugged me while Solange went to bring the car to the front.
I really thought she changed. I love my mom so much. I just wished she was open-minded. She's so stuck in her ways. She has a habit of pushing everyone away. I don't know how my dad stayed married to her. Well, actually i do. They are the exact same. I'm their child for god sake. They raised me for 18 years and now they act like I don't exist. Some part of me wondered if they ever even loved me.
"Its ok babygirl." She said while pulling me closer into her body and rubbing my back. I smiled when i felt Saweetie and Kae hug me too. I'm so glad i found my own little family. I hugged them all back.
Solange pulled up and honked the horn scaring the shit out of us causing Rih to glare at the car and look at a still knocked out Lauren. I was definitely gonna make fun of her when i came back to my adult headspace.
"You ready to go princess?" She asked. I nodded my head looking up at her. She smiled at me and she looked godly. The sun shined on her face making her light brown skin look ethereal and her already clear skin looked even clearer if possible and her beautiful green eyes just furthered added to the look. She wiped my tears the best of her abilities before kissing me on the forehead and ushering me to the car.
