"This is Nika. She is a friend of Saweetie. Who is a friend of Solange." Robyn answered.
"She's a little." Saweetie announced.
The hell is that?
"Can you please clarify what the hell that is?" Lauren asked. I was taken aback. She never spoke like that before. Robyn seemed to be unfazed so i guess its normal.
"someone who likes to play as an age younger then themselves as a result of trauma or just because. In Nika case its a result of trauma. Her caregivers died in a fire a couple days ago." Saweetie said trying to avoid any drama between Lauren and Nika. That shit still weird to me but i won't voice it. Like just cause you went through trauma doesn't mean you get to act 5.
"On Grand St?" Robyn asked. That was oddly specific.
"Yea. How did you know?" Nicki asked. Now out of her headspace probably.
"I was one of the firefighters that was on that call. We tried everything we could. It was a large fire. It was a strange fire. A fire so large but only 2 fatalities and no other people injured." Robyn said.
"You're a firefighter?" Nicki asked.
Robyn nodded.
"Did they die painfully?" Nicki asked.
"Um. I'm not a doctor but they passed before we got them out the house. They probably ran out of oxygen so they probably suffocated and thats not a nice feeling but they didn't burn alive." Robyn said trying to lay the answers on the girl softly.
"I'm so sorry for your loss." Lauren said.
"Its fine." Nicki said getting off Robyn's lap and sitting beside her.
Just then a knock interrupted the silence in the room.
"That's the food. Pick a movie Birthday girl." Robyn said handing Lauren the remote.
