ONESHOT| 03

RAIN. it was pouring on your special day, aka your birthday. and you were celebrating alone. your boyfriend was supposed to come yet he never did. he has been acting weird lately. barely hangs out with you and makes lots of excuses. you didn't want to assume he was cheating yet deep down you have a feeling he was. you headed towards his apartment. he gave you an extra key because he loved when you surprised him. when you walked inside, you saw two empty glasses and a bottle of wine. the whole place smelled disgusting. your fear was rising. removing your earphones, your heart shattered. you could hear noises coming from his bedroom. your eyes wander around the living room, hoping to find a clue who he's cheating on you with until you saw a familiar purse. it was your roommate. you couldn't believe that your own boyfriend has been sleeping with your roommate. not wanting to cause any trouble, you put your earphones back in and placed the key on the counter. you were never going to use it again. you closed the door and walked out. 'karma is gonna be a bitch to them' you smiled as you walked into the elevator.

you walked out into the street to see it was still pouring. "i should change my phone number and move out. i don't want to live with that bitch" you mumble. you started to walk back to your apartment yet your eyes landed on a bakery. you never got the chance to buy yourself a cake. yet you looked at yourself to see you were wet. you sighed and was about to walk away but someone called your name. you turned your heel to see the person who has been your rival throughout high school. jeon jungkook. he's been trying to beat you in grades. he looked shock to see you like this. he runs over and puts his umbrella underneath the two of you. "what are you doing here out in this rain?!? you know you're gonna catch a cold!?!" he shouts, yet his eyes soften when he saw your cold expression. "like it or not, you're coming with me" he grabs your hand and drags you towards his car. once you two get in the car, he drives off.

jungkook opens the door of his mansion and walks in with you following behind. "welcome back, master jeon" the maids bow. you were surprised to see them bowing at him. "you all are dismissed" he said and they nodded before walking away. "follow me (y/n). i will lead you to the bathroom where you can shower. we don't want you to get sick now" jungkook said as he walks up the stairs. you follow him into a room which seems like his. "you can use my bathroom. let me find some clothes you can borrow while i make us something to eat. i bet you're hungry" he smiles. you nodded and thanked him. "no problem! im glad i can help" he said. he hands you a black shirt and grey sweatpants. you walked into the bathroom and locked the door. as you removed your clothes, you start to wonder why he was being so kind to you out of the blue. hopping in the shower, you start to think of your now ex boyfriend. tears started rolling down your cheeks, remembering what you heard. why did he cheat on you? were you not enough for him?

after showering, you walked downstairs to see your rival in his kitchen. "thanks for letting me borrow your clothes, jungkook" you said. "it's nothing. come and take a seat. your food is ready" he smiles. taking a seat, you look back at jungkook who was looking at you. "is there something wrong?" you asked. "why were you crying?" he asked. "i wasn't-" he interrupts you. "your eyes are red. i can easily tell. you can trust me, (y/n). what happened?" jungkook asked placing his hand on top of yours. you pulled your hand away and looked away. "it's really nothing" you replied, stuffing food into your mouth. "it is something since you cried" he responded. "i-i caught my boyfriend sleeping with my roommate" you started crying out. jungkook's eyes widened, seeing you cry. he quickly makes his way to you, pulling you into his arms. "im so sorry that you had to experience that. he's such a jerk to hurt a beautiful woman like you" jungkook mumbles the last part. "w-was there something wrong with me which caused him to cheat on me? am i the one who made him cheat? am i not worth to be loved?" you asked.
