Year 6-7

Not much to tell after year 5 and beginning of year 6. Or so I thought. The random zombies we came across and could see when we left the bunker to forage, were soon consuming this area. Some seemed to be more alive than dead and it seemed the mutations were stabilizing in a few. I wondered if that had something to do with what we all discovered in the bunker and how close the zombies around it had been. Many had been used as research experiments and not all of them were failures and many seemed to be released after or just put down. I guess the dead dont stay dead for long here.

During one of our exploration into the sealed sections of the bunker, we kept finding bodies of ordinary people in various lvls of decomposition and mutations. Bottles of green, red and blue liquids scattered about here and there. Broken glass, tossed documents, boards, etc were scattered everywhere in the deepest parts of this bunker. I gathered the research and these events went back much longer than we have learned so far. I guess with enough money and power you could get away with these things. I decided id learn as much as I could before we leave this bunker. It wasn't designed for humans to stay that long. Resources were running low. Alot went bad obviously due to what was going on here. Plus we had more survivors now.

A few groups had managed to find us and we figured to let them stay. But we made sure to put each one to work. Some would do cleanup, Some would garden and forage, some for security and making sure the base exterior was in good standing. Around close to year 7 food supplies had dwindled pretty low. People were getting nervous and a good amount didnt like the injections and abilities we were displaying. They thought maybe we were going to mutate. I admit, I thought the same.

Sometime at the end of year 6, we all decided we would round up what we had and leave this place. We formed different groups and parted ways. I stayed with the ones who took the injections with me. We seemed to be much more durable and focused now. We would keep some injections with us. But we swore not to use them. We were curious ourselves how long our abilities would last. All the injections seemed to do was heighten all human strengths and talents. For now anyways. It was safe to just stop using them. I had made the decision and based on the data provided there shouldn't be any long term effects. I would have to keep an eye on my group for sure.
