I along with James managed to break past the activated systems and we got into the next area of the bunker that had been hidden by a very large heavy steel door. This part seemed recent compared to the rest and the air was much cleaner. We shut the door and found a panel to access security and power and lights, etc. We flipped it and the room grew bright. We saw computers and office desks and paperwork everywhere. What an interesting find. This all seems to be getting repetitive now. But I wondered why this part seemed so recent. I suppose not everyone who knew about what was going on was dead. Its likely they were still busy with their tasks or moving onto other ones. I hope they were working towards fixing all the damage that has been caused here and everywhere else their experiments escaped from. I pulled out a keycard and found a terminal that required one. Inserting the card booted up the pc more and it had security and governmental files and logs of experiments and cures and users. Most recent being months ago. "Well how about that James. Someone was here just months ago. Guessing after they left shit got worse here." James approached, "Yeah it would seem so. I'm going to look around more. We need to get out of this place and find our teams again. Hopefully we can find more resources to use and potential cures so we can have some peace." I agreed with a nod and James went to explore the room more. It would take us a few hours to gather data and materials. This place was massive. I kept searching files. I deactivated the automated security features from the terminal. The gas was annoying and hard to guess what other measures they had still functional. All I know I could walk into a room and get sliced to ribbons or set ablaze. We did see such things before in the other places we found.
Hours passed and soon James returned with his backpack full of what he said was treatments and potential cures. I too had files backed to a drive and I found materials and resources and similar things to what James found. I also found evidence that there was a new location that was sent out to these bunkers that told people to gather there. Authorized personal and civilians. I laughed. I would find this place and I will do my best to fix what I can. Me and James back tracked to the entrance and I had radioed my team to meet us there. Thankfully everyone made it. Some had found food and waters and medical supplies. A couple members took damages but nothing too severe. Cuts scrapes and some burns. We soon departed the bunker and went back to base camp. We were finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hope was a rare thing to come by indeed.
