Currently we were in a massive very old bunker that had housed a quadrupedal creature. It had killed one of my team. We managed to kill the creature fast enough, but we hadn't planned for it to be a living weapon. Its body being designed to release very caustic fast acting gas. It seemed most of what the gas touched that was plastic or living tissue it melted almost instantly. If it wasn't for our experience and abilities and gear, we would probably be dead. Or possibly undead. Once the creature was killed, we had taken our team mates body to the incinerator lvl. Apparently every one of the bunkers so far we had entered had a lvl. It made sense to keep such a thing on site. We carried our friend to it, and we had put the creature in a specialized bag. It too would be incinerated. Once that was finished, I as team leader gathered everyone around me. We mourned our friend and said our prayers. Then we left the lvl. We went back to the main lvl to check if anything else might be here. We searched the files and mainframe. Alot of it was hard to access and some just missing or deleted. This place was very old and secretive. Likely we also triggered it to start breaking itself down or deleting files.
A simple enough failsafe could have been designed to only be triggered by an escape of a creature or intrusion by unauthorized humans. What we did find was there was multiple lvls here that seemed to still have some functionality to them or could be accessed via elevator. I informed my team to go to each lvl in pairs and gather what they could. We would be here awhile. I needed to get what was here. To figure out the whole story and how we might fix the world. Surely there would be a piece of that knowledge here. I sure hope it would be. I went with my best civilian James, and we went to a lvl that was based on experimentation. I had to admit, I was fascinated by that creature and how we may better prepare for similar ones. Once we got into the lvl, we had to dodge spider webs that seemed rather large and unusual. Very sticky and had what seemed like water droplets on them. I didn't think those were water droplets though. I decided we wouldn't touch anything we didn't have to.
We made our way around the room. So many vials of orange, green, yellow, colorless liquids and body parts. Some from scorpions and dogs and bats, and lizards. Dna sources perhaps for experimentations. I muttered out loud. "What sick fucks ever thought any of this would be fun or safe?" James agreed. "You are right. This all is pretty sick and I thought we saw everything. Guess not." He moved to the other side of the room and found a computer. He typed away at it. "hey this one says experiment 789 was released. Wonder if that is what got our team mate and what we just killed. File says it was designed for rapid crowd control and dispersion." He laughed softly. "Well I can say that definitely fits what we saw." I agreed and spoke. "Yeah fucking crazy shit my guy." I was at another laptop going through the files. As far back as I could to today. "Hmm just lists experiments going up to 800. Alot of failures. Not many surviving. Plenty terminated. I guess we are lucky. These things been here locked up for a long time." I walked around the room and soon found a seam of a door. I pushed it open..
