Your POV

"Hurry up Y/n/n" My childhood best friend Hinata called out.

"Wait up Hina" I said running to catch up with her.

It was our usual routine. Once our classes were done we were allowed to play in the field until our parents come to pick us up. 

"Hinata! Y/n! your parents are here!" Our teacher called out causing Hina and I to stop running and turn towards out teacher.

"Yes miss Yuki" I said as I grabbed Hina's hand and walked out of the field.

Hinata's POV for a minute:

I felt my face get warm once Y/n/n held my hand and started walking out of the play field. They are so cute, it should be illegal to be this cute. Gosh I love them...

I felt a small smile crawl up my face what Y/n/n turned to face me and gave me a hug like they always do before they leave with their parents.

Back to your POV:

I waved my hands as a gesture to say goodbye to Hina.

"See you tomorrow Hina" I said to her with a bright smile on my face.

Little did I know, it would be the last time I would see Hina.

The next day, Hina went missing. I felt empty. She was my best friend and I loved her a lot. I didn't feel like smiling or laughing anymore. After a few years the case was closed declaring she would have died.

Why? Is Hina really dead? Why did she leave me alone here?

I walked my normal way to home. It has been a few years since Hina went missing and was declared dead. If Hina was still alive she would be in her twenties just like me. I was never able to get over her death. I wonder how things would have been if Hina didn't go missing and die...

My long train of thoughts were cut when I felt unbearable pain all over my body. My vision was getting blurry as I slowly processed what was going on. 

I was hit by a speeding car.

ah I am losing blood fast. I am gonna die for sure. Hina, wait for me.

I felt my eyes close. The coldness around me slowly turned warm. Is this what death feels like?

"Slightly faster regeneration : Acquired"

What? A voice? I am probably hallucinating because of the blood loss.

"Illusion technique : Acquired"

What? I swear I heard a robotic voice just now!

"Mind companion : Acquired"

Ok I am defiantly not hallucinating. Where even am I? I can't see anything. It feels like I am floating.
