"mom im going out now!" i yelled, "be back before dinner!"
"you better come back home before dinner!"
"i promise!" i smiled as i ran through the door.
what happened to that promise? i rushed to the thrift shop, hoping that i'm not late to hang out with my friends, f/n and sasha. once i arrived, i found my friends waiting on the ground talking with a box on the concrete sidewalk next to them.
"hello!!" i say with a big smile, waving.
"took you long enough! we already shopped without you!" f/n says popping some candy inside her mouth.
sasha picked up the box, "let's go play this game since we're all here now."
f/n responds, "okay! oh by the way, y/n we got this game thingy so we could play it!" she continues, "it was really cheap too!"
"oh that sounds great!" i answer happily.
"let's just start already, i have to get back before 8:00." sasha says looking at her watch.
she opens the box and everything starts glowing? leaves start flying everywhere! and as soon as i know it, im in a unfamiliar place.. without my friends in sight.
'huh? where am i? where did my friends go?" i think to myself anxiously. 'ill just call my mom to ask for help.' as i pull out my phone, it says no signal. how could there be no signal here? how am i going to get home at this rate? i get up from where i am sitting, i just realized i was in the woods! but lucklily, theres this path to guide me somewhere i could ask for help.
i end up in a cute town, i wonder where i am, i've never seen anything like this before. i turn around to see a girl with green glasses and a beautiful skirt to be dancing around and singing for kids. i must admit that is very impressive, but that doesn't help me at all! maybe i could ask her for help?
after following her for a long time, which was VERY tiring. we end up at this house, it seems really big- but i swear i saw a window move. i overhear something a gift? what's that? anyways i go up to this girl and tap her shoulder.
"hi, um do you know where we are? i um got a bit lost." i say with a worried smile.
"huh? oh! we are in colombia in a town called encanto!" she responds.
"COLOMBIA?!" i say loudly, " but i live in C/N! there's no way i ended up here!"
"you live there? do you have anywhere to stay?" she says worriedly.
"oh no, ill be fine- unless there isn't a hotel here.." i answer.
"um, we don't have hotels here.." she continues, "but you could stay with me and my family!"
"really? thank you so much! your a lifesaver!" i hug her, "i didn't get your name yet."
"i'm mirabel! mirabel madrigal!" she says happily, "yours?"
"y/n, nice to meet ya!" i respond back, shaking her hand.
"and also y/n.. i don't mean to be rude but what type of clothes are you wearing?"
