"we need a picture! everyone, come
come, come, come, come! it's a great night, it's a perfect night." abuela says.

that's nice! but where is mirabel? isn't she supposed to be in the picture?

"la familia madrigal!"

i look over to my side and see she's not there anymore, i should go look for her.

i go outside of the room to see mirabel standing looking at something above, i go up to her.

"hi mirabell.. you disappeared for a second there-"

the house starts shaking and mirabel looks over to a roof tile that fell down.
she picks up the tile and cuts her hand.

"are you okay?" i say anxiously.

"oh yeah i'm fine-"

the floor starts shaking and i hear cracking noises everywhere.

"casita?" mirabel says.

in a blink of an eye there are cracks EVERYWHERE, the stairs are breaking, the walls are breaking and a picture of a man almost falls down.

the cracks follows up the stairs to the doors and when i look above i see a candle sitting there looking like it's about to go out.

me and mirabel watch in horror.
mirabel quickly runs to the room where the party is, i follow behind trying not to get noticed so i just go in a corner.

i shouldn't meddle into their business anyways.

"THE HOUSE IS IN DANGER! THE HOUSE IS IN DANGER!" mirabel yells.
everyone turns to look at the girl who is out of breath,
"the tiles were falling and there were cracks everywhere and... the candle almost went out."

"show me." abuela says back.
everyone walks out of the room to see what happened, when they do- the cracks aren't there anymore. they went away.

"what? no, that's --- the cracks
were there, they were... everywhere. the house was in trouble, the, the candle was..." mirabel responds to the sight.
"she saw it too, right? remember?" pointing at me.

everyone turns to look at me.
i lowered my head to cover myself from the attention. sorry mirabel, but i hate everyone staring at me.

"abuela, i promise-"

"that's enough." she continues, "there is nothing wrong with la casa madrigal. the magic is strong.. and so are the drinks."
