Chapter 2 - The meeting of Latte Cookie

So I sat down,got my books out and stared at the blank board,waiting,trying not to fall asleep. I still had a suspicion to this new teacher - why did she suddenly come to this school and had to appear in MY life?That's what I couldn't stop thinking about.

First of all,she appeared in such a time - my final year - the time where I was finally to attempt my actual GCSEs and discover who I actually am. But the problem is that I don't know who I want to be. I don't know if I want to work somewhere or if I want to go to college. And I had to decide by March and it's September. Absolute DISASTER!

Secondly,why is she teaching my class?5 other staff left this year and she still decided to teach my class. And,even more specifically,me.

Excuse me,but I didn't need any new teacher. I hate new teachers they are always SO nosy and don't let to have any privacy. And that's why I had suspicions to her,whatever her name is.

I also had an experience with nosy teachers in the past - way back in Year 7 but I still remember it till today.

It all started when my first Galactic Magic teacher - Liorice Cookie was fired due to betrayal of the school and having evil plans. I didn't like him much,he seemed very weird but he honestly wasn't that bad. He isn't as powerful as Dark Enchantress Cookie but still was quite scary.

5 months later,a temporary teacher,Chocolate Bonbon Cookie came. She was supposed to only be here for a month but she got a longer contract for a year. And seriously,it wasn't cool at all.

I had to literally sit next to her desk,I was always picked to answer questions,even if I didn't know answers to her questions sometimes,she still picked me. But I didn't know the worst was to come.

When I wanted to focus on the work I had to do,Chocolate Bonbon Cookie always came round my desk and kept on asking stupid questions that had nothing to do with her.

Examples :
'Are you single?,Do you deal with anxiety?,Who are your friends?,What do you do in my your free time?'

Most of the time, I didn't say anything and she went but once it was very bad. Chocolate Bonbon came round and told me to go outside.

I only said :
'OK,Miss.'

Because I didn't expect what happened then.
She kept on asking if I was single and I didn't say anything - this situation felt so awkward and it went way out of control.

She even threatened me that if I won't tell her,she'll report to the teachers that I kept on asking her when it was the other way round. If she'd do that,I'd be ended in this school and be kicked out.

So I told her :
'Excuse me,but first of all it's none of your business I am only your student and the fact how you're acting is suspicious. Second of all,there is CCTV everywhere and everything that you're saying rn is being recorded and you can be kicked out instead. Third of all,if you really need to know I'm single - I am only 11. '

Chocolate Bonbon Cookie said :
'Wait I'm being recorded?'

I nodded.

Chocolate Bonbon Cookie said :
'Oh no. I really am on risk to be fired. '

She then totally was freaking out and ran into class (like literally!)She never bothered me again but I finally felt fully calm when she was fired. One camera on that corridor recorded her and everything was obvious.

But back to my new teacher,I'm scared that she'll be like Chocolate Bonbon even if that's really unlikely,I'm still scared that she will bring me trouble.

The lesson started and the new teacher finally introduced herself.

She said :
'Welcome everyone,I am so excited to meet you!I am Latte Cookie and I am going to be your Galactic Magic teacher this year. Today,I will not be teaching anything - this lesson is about seeing what you can do!I heard this is a really talented class and I want proof. Anyone is not to worry,it can even be the most basic spell you can imagine. Also just to note,the whole class needs to show me something.'

Inside,I was really freaking out - what if something went wrong?What if she wasn't impressed with me?Anything could happen.

So when it finally was my turn,I was totally trembling. Plus,I could hear people's smirks which didn't help at all.

But I bit my bottom lip to gain some confidence,and I finally found enough strength.

I said :
'Jellius Levitus!'

Everything started floating in the air,gathering into a swirl,almost looking like a tornado. It was a quite pretty sight,truly because Latte Cookie just gazed - she looked quite impressed but maybe I was wrong. The others stopped giggling as well - that was a good sign!

When I finished,everyone including Latte Cookie,clapped. She even came to give me personal congratulations - then I was about to cry. I never got so much praise - even from Parfait and Pumpkin Pie.

Latte replied :
'You're really special - I never met someone like you before. Maybe you want to see me after school at the backyard?We could talk for a bit. '

Then,I was like beyond VERY shocked. I never expected to hear that from Latte Cookie - she's a proper experienced magician,she knows what she wants from life. While I...don't even know if I want to go to college or not and I am in Year 11. I hope she'll help not only with that,but also with my anxiety - I've been to all sorts of therapists but they didn't help me much.

Maybe Latte Cookie wasn't that bad after all...
(She really seemed nice!)
