Chapter 13 - The Confrontation Day

The day finally came. The day my and Latte's fate was to be decided. I was ready to deal with the problem and face the consequences,no matter what cost. I had friends I could truly rely on and that's all I needed. What was to happen,will happen,and I can't really prevent it in any way.

My form tutor said I was called to the principal for a important meeting. And I already know what it's about. Of course all the other kids also knew and started laughing as I walked out in silence.

I was walking to the principal with mixed feelings. On one hand, I really wanted and needed to tell my story about everything that happened. On the other hand,I'm scared the principal won't believe me and that he will suspend me and fire Latte.

Anxiety then attacked me. I was breathing faster and faster,until I couldn't breathe. I walked to the nearest bench with the little bit of energy I had left and waited. After 7 minutes,it finally passed and I could finally breathe normally again.

I finally got to the principal's office. He wasn't happy at all when I came.

He yelled at me :
'Cream Puff,why are you so late?You were supposed to be here 5 minutes ago!This is a serious issue we are dealing with right now and you decided to just not care and be late!'

Latte yelled back :
'Excuse me,sir,but that is not how you talk to a 16 year old student with anxiety. She didn't come late here on purpose. She knows this is a serious issue.'

The principal calmed down. He said :
'I'm sorry,Cream Puff. Why are you late?'

I say :
'My form tutor said to go to your office,sir. However,I got an anxiety attack and started breathing faster until I couldn't breathe. I had to wait a couple of minutes on a bench to recover.'

The principal nods. He says :
'We all know why we are here. So explain,how did you two start dating?'

I insisted :
'We never actually dated!We just met up at the backyard and chatted for a bit. Someone followed us and recorded. Then,the video got edited so it looked like we were doing romantic things and then got posted. Latte calmed me down after all the stresses not only today but for my high school life. I am actually dating someone at the moment. And,no it's not Latte.'

Latte continues :
'That's true. Anyways why would I date my 16 year old student with anxiety who had a crush ?Cream Puff is beautiful and talented but I only thought of her as a friend. Plus,I'm not even into girls,especially into girls who are younger than me and are my students!'

The principal says :
'Ok,I get your point. Both of you look like as if you are dead serious and I believe you. Plus,I realised that there is a moment that doesn't stick together.'

Both I and Latte ask in shock :
'Really?'

The principal nods. He pauses the video around half way,where it shown Photoshop options.

Latte exclaims :
'Now,we have evidence that we are not dating. Now,I need to find the person who did this!'

The principal says :
'I already dealt with that person who did it yesterday. It was Zombie Cookie and I suspended him from this school permanently for posting false inappropriate content. He was trying to argue with me but then I shown the moment where we could see the Photoshop options. He finally owned up and got suspended.'

I at that right exact moment :

I hug the principal and say :
'Thank you so much!I'm really happy and grateful for what you did. I finally feel fully calm after so many weeks. Thank you.'

He says :
'There is a punishment though for you two causing attention. Two days of isolation is enough. You will be able to do remote learning at home during that time.'

Latte says :
'Of course,sir. We will not let you down,sir. Not after all this chaos.'

The principal laughs merrily. He says :
'Well,I hope so!Best wishes to both of you. Good luck with life!'

We both say :
'Thank you sir!You too!'

We then both rush out of the principal's office and run happy as we ever could be like little children in primary school. We didn't care - the drama was finally dealt with and finished. And,that's all I asked for these past few weeks. Peace. And,I finally got it.
