Chapter 11 - I'm Going Out

2 HOURS LATER...

After thoroughly and deeply studying everything that I could have missed,I checked my phone. I got tonnes of notifications from Instagram and TikTok,but it's the notification from WhatsApp that I check first. It was a message from Sorbet Shark.

They wrote :
'Done?'

I message them back :
'Just finished. Why are you asking?'

Sorbet Shark wrote :
'Cream Puff,I...'

I write :
'?'

They write :
'Let's say I want to invite you out.'

I write :
'You...do?'

Sorbet Shark wrote :
'Yes. It's kinda a date.'

Wait am I DREAMING?Sorbet Shark invited me on a date!So,they really liked me. Not some random blurting or something. Oh,anxiety DON'T RUIN it please!

I message Sorbet Shark :
'I actually was dreaming about you saying that. I...can't wait. What time?What day?I need to know.'

They write :
'Today,6 pm. Don't be late.'

I write ;
'For sure!But,where?'

Sorbet Shark wrote :
'The Sweet Soda Lake.'

The SWEET SODA LAKE?I can't believe this is happening. I knew Sorbet Shark is romantic,but not this romantic!

I write :
'Sorbet Shark,that sounds great!I'd love to go and I am coming!'

They write :
'Great!See you later,Cream Puff. Can't wait to see you!'

I write :
'Me too. Have a good day!'

I then get off WhatsApp. I rush out to the living room. Parfait is there.

She asks :
'Cream Puff,wow. I never saw you this thrilled before. What happened?'

I say :
'Parfait,let's say I was invited out.'

I giggle.

Parfait exclaims :
'You...are INVITED OUT?That's absolutely GREAT!Who invited you,when,where. Spill out the beans NOW!'

I say :
'Parfait,calm down a bit. So,I'm going out today at six,by the Sweet Soda Lake,with Sorbet Shark.'

Parfait then almost explodes out of joy. Last time I saw her this happy was when she released Toxic,her most viewed song yet (20M views currently,released a week ago.)

She screams :
'Cream Puff,well done,hon!You're gonna go out with a person that you're really into. I hope you'll finally happy with your life. Not just studying or sitting at home on your own. I mean you have friends,including me of course,but sometimes you are quite isolated from the outside world.'

I say,in between giggles :
'We are not a thing yet. We just are seeing if we match or not. What will happen,we will see.'

Parfait says :
'Uh - huh.'

Then,she goes out of the room with a wide smile on her face and gives me a wink. I go back to my room.

I check the time. It was noon and I was hungry. And,I had appetite for some fast food.

I went to Parfait's room.

I ask :
'Wanna go out and about to town?I'm really hungry and I want some fast food. Like a creamy burger from Macs...'

She replies :
'Sure. I'm hungry too. I want to eat some delicious fried chicken,you know. Fine,let's go.'

I put my coat on and shoes,while Parfait put on her heels and fur. We were on the way to McDonalds but Parfait had to go to a couple of shops on the way cause Parfait's Parfait. We got to McDonald's like almost 2 hours later.

When we finally got there,I ordered a Creamy Spice Burger and some French Fries and Mini Brownies alongside,while Parfait ordered Fried Chicken with a classic vegetable salad and Garlic Bread. We ate our food and ordered some lemonade.

We went out after like 40 minutes,and were on our way back home.

Parfait asks :
'So,are you prepared for the date?Do you have like a pretty dress,some cool makeup and magnificent hairstyle in plan?'

I say :
'Parfait,last time we've been shopping for your concert we bought half of the shop. I have tonnes of makeup and pretty clothes. And,my hair is fine,I'm not gonna be changing it much.'

She replies :
'Ok,as you say so. I'm just giving you advice cause you never been on a PROPER date. I don't want you to be heartbroken cause you thought it'd be something more than a couple of cute words and gestures.'

I say :
'Well,I can do things for myself you know. Even if I seem like a stupid 5 year old girl who believes in fairytales,I'm not. I have anxiety and had a lot of problems in life,but for once I want to believe that I can be independent and be confident about it.'

Parfait replies :
'Wow,don't be so angry,sheesh. I never thought you'll ever say things like that. You can do what you want,Cream Puff. I just wanna be a good friend,I want to care about you.'

I say :
'I believe you,Parfait. It's just I'm stressed out cause of the date. I...had a crush on Sorbet Shark for a while you know and...I can't help but be stressed.'

Parfait says :
'Oh,I didn't know that,I'm sorry. I hope everything will go well. Just...know that if something will happen,I'm there for you.'

I hug Parfait. I'm so thankful for her to understand me and my feelings right now.

After a few moments,I say :
'Let's go home,I need to start prep for my date soon.'

We both laugh on the way home. When we get there,it's 3 : 30. I rush to my room and start to prep.

I open my wardrobe and put on my swimming costume cause I knew if I wanted to talk to Sorbet Shark,I'd have to go underwater. Over it,I put on my prettiest dress - a white silk dress with the area of the arms of the arms and waist being covered in pure gold. I then put on my pearl high heels and earrings,with a beautiful necklace obsidian necklace along with it.

Next,was makeup. I put on my favourite Delightful Velvety Red lipstick and classic black eyeliner,so my eyelashes are pretty too. In terms of my hair...I kept it down for the sake of simplicity and beauty. And,finally to make a full package,I used my favourite perfume - the Tropical World Aroma - which was mainly a smell of mango and kiwi.

I was ready to go out and be with Sorbet Shark on a date. A PROPER one.

I went out to the Sweet Soda Lake and it took me half an hour. I was 10 minutes early so I decided to play some of my playlist before Sorbet Shark comes.
