Seoul is beginning to feel like home. In between recording your album and travel restrictions, you haven't been able to take any trip back to your actual hometown. At first, the city did feel alien even though the people were nice and the culture was not too hard to understand, because new is new and home is home. You wonder if it was all the songwriting you were doing these days that changed your feelings. Ever since the writer's block lifted, you've been writing songs quite consistently - sometimes at home, on the road, in a market, in a children's park - basically anywhere you could steal a few minutes to yourself - channelling the spectrum of emotions that you felt these days.

"Y/N, you should start thinking about a final tracklist," Seyeon says over the muted sounds of traffic. She's sporting a dark turtleneck and grey pants with her straight hair up in a classy bun. You're dressed more casually - cargos and a simple black crop top - taking in the sunny streets of South Korea's capital from the window of a black Merc SUV. February is still a cold month.

"Hmm? Yeah, I will Seyeon," you smile at her before looking out again.

Seyeon is mildly nervous but decides to say what's been on her mind for a while, "Y/N. I wanted to apologize."

"For what?" you ask, surprised.

"For pressuring you about Prakriti," she says, "it was wrong of me to go on about it despite you telling me not to. I should have trusted you."

"Yeah, it was extremely annoying, but I accept your apology -" you nod fast, but noticing how serious she looked, you ditch the sarcasm, "you didn't know the whole issue, Seyeon. I can't really blame you."

Seyeon gives an awkward smile. "Still," she says. For the past two weeks, she had been at the forefront of negotiations with Ribbon alongside Monica. No one except for her was truly surprised at how much a pain it was turning out to be. Ribbon's lawyers were as slippery as their client. DK had been silent since that phone call but you had a terrible feeling that it wasn't out of regret on his part but due to some other sick plan up his sleeve that he was going to drop on you one day.

"Anyway," you try to change the topic, "the timing of our collaboration with V and Suga is great, isn't it?" you finish with a beam.

"Hmm, could have been a bit later, but it can't be helped," she shrugs, making you debate whether to call her a party pooper or not, but she continues, "we can drop your first single a week or so after that song comes out. Promotions will align quite smoothly," Seyeon finishes the sentence with some satisfaction. She loves to have things fit neatly - whether it is the calendar or her shelf.

"By the way - wear this before you step out," she says and hands you a worn-out black hoodie. There's something written on it in Hangul, but it is the graphic that makes you cringe: it's a giant toilet seat, smiling at you and sticking out its tongue. The more you look at it the more it looks like something it shouldn't.

"Why Seyeon?" you cry.

"It's a sanitation service hoodie, Y/N. You can't just walk into V's house looking like yourself. Oh, here's the cap too," she hands you a baseball cap with the same logo and lettering in small. In her indignance, Seyeon seriously reminds you of Monica.

"Um, Seyeon - I understand the camouflage thing but for god's sake look at it!"

"What?"

You just stare back at her. "Okay, maybe it's just me," you mutter and wear the dubious costume.

"This is the actual service that works around here," Seyeon scans you from up to down, "yes, you pass."

"Thanks," you say irritably.

"Do you know, there's a whole room full of fake uniforms like on the seventh floor of Hybe?" Seyeon remarks.

"So you had a room full of fake uniforms and you got me one with a d- "

"-oh, we are here!" Seyeon ignores your comment.

"Where's my plunger?" you ask sarcastically.

"Just tell the guards the apartment number. Also," she adds after you step out of the car, "- sorry about the logo - I grabbed it last minute - didn't see -" she giggles.

"Oh god," you cringe, before shutting the car door and walking away.

"Don't forget the kid!" Seyeon yells.

Of course.
