𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗼- 𝘋𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘨 × 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺

Chapter six: awkward trip

The next morning . . .

" So is everyone ready? " yells Ikaris. He's been acting weird the past few days, I never seen this side of Ikaris. "He's probably just grieving" I think to myself.

- "Yes, but where is Druig? We have to wait for him " says Sersi, which leads to confusion from Ikaris and me.

" I thought y/n is the only one who's coming with us, why the change of plans " replies Ikaris. And for the first time in forever I agree with him, but I'm sure as hell not to going to say that out loud. - But wait! Why is Druig coming, doesn't he have a village or a cult to mind-control?

"My dear y/n, those people left yesterday. I have no one left to ' mind-control '. And besides I would love to visit our old friend." says Druig. I hate it when he does this, and by this I mean the whole ' reading my thoughts ' and stuff and replying out loud just so he can annoy me. But I'm not going to let him ruin our trip, I'm going to focus on Sersi because as she said last night " It's going to be awkward if it's just me and Ikaris " but shit just got more awkward.

After hours of being stuck with my best friend and our ex-boyfriends in a jet (I'm forever thankful that Kingo got rich and has his own jet) we finally made it ! And believe me, the whole ride was filled with awkward silence and a lot of tension from Ikaris and Druig. Those two never really liked each other. But we're here now, in front of Phastos's hause. Suddenly a kid, which I easily recognize Jack is running to me.

" Auntie y/n you're here! Finally! Did you know you missed my birthday last month? Did you get me a present? " he says and fuck. I forgot about his birthday and his present. I knew I wasn't planning on visiting Phastos and his family anytime soon, so I didn't get a present but I called him to say happy birthday last month and wow. How can I forget a present for my only nephew.

" Hello Jack, your aunt got you a present but you see, she forgot to bring it here. But she's here now, she came to see you and that's a better present, right? " That's when Druig, and I can't believe I'm going to say this but he saved the day, he saved me from embarrassment but it still counts. Sometimes I forget how much kids and girls adore him. I was always jealous of them.

"Who are you?" asks Jack. Which is an obvious question to ask the three strangers who are standing in your yard.
That's when I grab Jack's hand and I explain about how the people he just saw are Phastos's friends. While I talked to Jack, Sersi explained everything to Phastos. I'm glad I was not part of that conversation, I didn't want to see his reaction when he found out that his existence is a lie, that his closest friends just died and the fact his family mat die too because the end of the world is near and we have to stop it- woah that's a lot of bad news, how are we all calm? I guess we really are robots.

The four of us are now sitting in the kitchen/dining room waiting for Phastos to say his goodbyes. Ben, needed to convince him to come with us. But I can't even imagine whats like to send off your husband, so he can help save the world. I feel bad about them. I love this little family with all my heart, and I still remember the day Phastos told me about his son and husband. I cried tears of happiness that day, and that's also when I became more present part of Phastos's life. And now I have to watch this family separate,saying their goodbyes, and knowing that this may be the last time they see each other.
Druig is holding my hand now. He's probably also reading my thoughts but I'm starting to be okay with that.
I'm starting to be okay with being around him again. And if I'm honest I missed it.
