I know my relationship with Druig was always complicated, the way it started, the way it ended and even now. Everything about me and Druig is complicated and over time I released I was okay with complicated, I'm just stubborn, we both are and that's probably the reason we've been apart all this time. But thinking about everything that's happening now, I know I wouldn't change a thing. Because everything that happened lead me to this very moment. Being reunited with him again, being in his arms tonight, sleeping in my old room here at the domo.
Everything feels right even though this might be the last night of our lives, our eternal lives.
The end of the world is near and
I'm with the man that I love, and loved for an eternity.
But I guess I should explain how we got here, because 24 hours ago, everyone (well mostly everyone*) was reunited and we all were on our way to the domo and to see Makkari. It was a long ride, and somehow we survived the silence and small talks. Everyone was thinking the same thing, will this work? In my opinion, it won't but I guess I was always more of a glass half empty type of person.
" Earth to y/n, what the hell are you thinking about, " yells Kingo. Right now we are in front of the domo, we've been walking for hours and I feel like a walking zombie, I think I look like one too.
- "I'm just tired Kingo," I say as I feel Druig's gaze on me, he knows what I was thinking about.
" Well we all are tired, but at least we pretend that we're okay "
- "Kingo not everyone is an actor," says Sprite and everyone is back to silence except Phastos,
" The domo is here " he says while looking at his magical compass ".
I'm finally going to see Makkari now. It's been to long since our reunion.
Walking around the halls of the domo feels different now, probably because Makkari turned this place into a freaking museum but still.
- "And there she is" says Phastos when we all finally see Makkari.
" Are we finally going home? " she signs.
- "I'm sorry Makkari, that's not happening anytime soon," says Ikaris.
" . . . And that's everything you have to know, but I like what you did with this place ," says Sersi.
Now everyone is still looking around and I notice Druig talking to Makkari. Can't believe I used to be jealous of their friendship. I mean can you blame me? Both of them are beautiful and funny and they would have made the perfect couple, except for the fact that Druig fell in love with me and Makkari never liked him in that way.
" How are you y/n, I have missed you, " Makkari signs to me and hugs me. Ahh I missed her too. She was the first person to know about me and Druig back in the day, and that became the start of our friendship.
- "I missed you too," I sign to her. "I actually love what you did with this place, as long as you didn't change my room," I say with a smile on my face.
" Don't worry, I didn't touch your room, but I did turn Druig's bedroom into garbage space, " she signs.
- "Yes I did see that, I guess I have to sleep in your room tonight, y/n. One last time, what do you say," says Druig with a smirk on his face.
" Ha-ha very funny, but wait Makkari did you really do that? " I sign to her, with a concern look on my face.
- "No I was joking, you don't understand our humor" She signs back.
" This is why I have trust issues, your pranks and jokes, but I love it, " I say as I leave the common room.
I've walking around, talking with Sersi, and making sure everything is alright for few hours now and I finally decide to visit my old room. The only place I haven't been able to go, since we got here. And that's because I have many memories there, and some of those memories hurt now. At least I think they will.
When I walk in, I see my old blue painted walls, some pictures on them as well and a lot of dust. I guess Makkari really didn't touch anything from my room.
I always loved this room, it was the only thing that stayed permanent in all theose years that we moved from one to another place. I feel like I was thinking out loud when someone knocked on my door.
"It's Druig" he says and I open the door . . .
