TW: idek what to call it but mf be sushicidal
____________________________________Taeil sighed, the scattered clouds above his face threatening to clump and form a rain cloud. Which would turn into sleet or snow, due to the temperature.
He was shivering a bit on the cold concrete, but, he didn't mind. He wore a black hoodie and jeans, which both had mud stains on them, from the encounter earlier that day.
Let's just say he decided to take a running shortcut through the wet grass.
(cough cough)
Music blasted through his earbuds, random songs by System of a down that he didn't bother paying attention to.
He was just mindlessly listening, no emotions or thoughts in his brain, and he liked it like that.
He didn't have to think about how fucked up his life was, or how much he was hurting, it was just pure indifferent bliss.
"Attention, it is now 4:05, any unsupervised students must leave the building"
The announcement repeated once more and Taeil decided he should probably go, before the maintenance people showed up like usual.
The last time they caught him up there, he ended up with a sprained wrist, not the best way to end that day.
He sat up, his feet dangling over the edge of the roof.
If only he wasn't too chicken to jump.
...
The next afternoon, he was on the roof again, this time with not much to do other than stare at the bird shit stains that littered the concrete.
He sighed, quite audibly.
"Go away Mark, I don't want to talk"
Taeil turned his attention to the voice, which came from the opposite side of his usual hang out space.
"Uh, hi? I'm not Mark" Taeil replied, curious as to who the voice belonged to. It sounded pained, yet emotionless at the same time.
"Oh" the person sat up, finally revealing their appearance. Tan skin paled by the approaching sunset. Gray-purplish hair, messy and seemingly unwashed. Eyes puffy, red from both crying and probably drugs.
"Sorry, I thought I was the only one up here"
"Yeah, me too"
Taeil went over and sat by the boy, whose scent reminded him of a freshly baked croissant, that got thrown in a dumpster.
"Why are you up here? I thought only I knew the code"
"The code is one two three, it's not that hard" the boy dryly chuckled to himself.
"I'm only up here because it's quiet. Quieter than my house atleast.."
Taeil gave him a pity smile, he could relate. His home had been broken since he was ten, but, everyone ignored it, like a full trashbag that everyone refuses to take out.
"I feel you man"
"How about you?"
"Most of the same reason, can't stand it at home, and being here is better than being in class"
(writing this rn in world history and istg i had to put my brightness down so low ;-;)
The boy hummed, his eyes focused on the orange sky.
"What's your name?"
"Haechan"
"Hm, nice name"
