(Dipper pov)
I sit on his bed as stars dot the sky outside but there is no sign of Bill coming back in here. Maybe he fell asleep in his office. I go over to the door finding it locked. I go to the desk in the corner opening it and rumaging though it finding a small nail file.
Bringing it over to the door I manage to use it to get the door open and then I walk out of there and up onto the deck.
I go over to the railing, climbing on top of it looking down at the dark waters below. The ocean doesn't even look blue right now, it just looks black and souless.
Looking up at the sky I spot the big dipper, subconsciously pulling on my bangs to make sure they cover my birthmark.
Without warning something hard hits my head. "Ow!" I put a hand on my head barely managing to keep my balance. I look up towards the crow's nest seeing someone passed out drunk up there. I look into the water to see what hit me and I think it's a pocket watch.
"Dipper!"
Taken by surprise I lose my balance and am unable to regain it in time before I fall into the water, clutching at nothing but empitness.
The minute that I hit the water I kick the boots off knowing what's going to happen, the pain hitting everything at once making me scream, nothing coming out but water floods into my lungs since they can't breathe in the water until the transformation is complete. It's always easier turning human then siren.
I try to swim up to get the water out of me but I can't. I've never swam in this human body before so I don't know how. The pain in my legs gets worse, them trying to become a tail but can't because of the pants in the way. I desperately try to get the pants off of me when someone grabs me from behind pulling me above water.
Coughing and gagging up water I look up seeing it's Bill holding me. He grabs a rope that pulls him and me back onto the boat, with a glance I see it's Tad that was pulling the rope.
Bill drops me on the ground as I thrash around in pain. "Fucking shit....Tad hold him down."
"What? What is-"
"Just fucking hold him down!"
Tad grabs me by the shoulders holding me down as I scream in pain into the night air, Bill grabbing my ankles holding down my legs.
He pushes up my pant legs using his coat to dry off my legs before holding them again, it hurting more as the scales go back into my skin once again.
I lay there in pain once it's over, everything still hurting and my lungs still burning from the water getting into them.
"What the fucking hell just happened, Bill?"
"Not now, Tad. I will explain later."
He grabs my arm putting it over his shoulder, his arm around my waist as he stands up pulling me up to my feet in the process. He leads me back down the halls of the ship to his room as he lays me on his bed, pulling off the pants leaving me in the shirt I was already wearing and the shorts he had given me to wear under the pants.
He puts the pants on his desk chair to dry before coming back over to me. "What the hell were you thinking?"
"I was just stargazing. Something hit me on the head so I stood up on the railing to try and see what when you scared me and I fell."
"Hm." He pulls the blanket up so it covers me from the waist down before he walks out of the room shutting the door behind him and I hear the faint click of the lock.
