Little One

Gemma could feel the sweat of her palms as she walked back and forth. Never in her life did she think 3 minutes would go so slow. She was walking back and forth when the timer finally went off.

"Ok, ok, ok, breathe Gemma breathe."

10 seconds ago she was very impatient and wanted to see the results. Now, shes scared out of her mind.

"Alright, I'm about to do this."

She looked in the camera one last time before taking her shaky hands and flipping the test over. She couldn't read it at first but as soon as she did she burst into tears.

"Oh my god, oh my god."

It took her a few moments to collect herself. She flipped the test around towards the camera.

"I'm gonna be a mom."

She smiled so big and she could stop herself from laughing a little. She put down the test and shifted her hands onto her stomach. She looked down and pulled her shirt up.

"Hello little one."

Ok ok, act normal. Don't let him know anything until the surprise. Do not just blurt-

Gemma's thoughts were interrupted when she heard the front door open and close.

"Hey babe, you home?"

"Yeah, I'm right here."

Gemma walked over to the foyer where Joseph was taking his shoes off. She kissed him hello and the two of them talked about their day. They were currently sitting on the couch with Gemma's legs thrown over Joseph's lap.

"I have a surprise for you."

Joseph smirked at Gemma as he pulled her closer to him. He started to kiss her neck when she playfully hit him in the chest.

"Not that kind of surprise."

She stood up and walked into their bedroom before coming right back out. She had already set up one of Joe's go pros before he had gotten home.

"So what type of surprise should I be expecting?"

"I guess you'll have to see."

She stood in between his legs and his hands immediately gripped her thighs. She pulled out a small jewelry box and handed it to Joseph. He looked down at it as he took it from her and furrowed his eyebrows.

"What's this?"

"Just open it, Joe."

"I'm a little nervous."

Gemma's head was thrown back as she laughed at him.

"Trust me, so am I."

Joseph slowly opens the box and when he finally sees whats inside his mouth drops open.

"No, no, I"

Joseph's eyes start to tear up as he looks up at Gemma.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

At this point both of them have tears in their eyes.

"I found out this afternoon and couldn't wait to tell you."

Joseph is in utter shock and has no idea what to do. Suddenly, he makes up his mind and stands up, easily lifting Gemma in his arms. He spins around while hugging her.

"We're gonna be parents!"

He puts her down and kneels so that his face is level with her stomach. He lays his hand on her stomach and his thumb moves back and forth.

"Hi baby."
