Ink's POV

We are now at the living room
Geno was talking to my foster dad while I was behind him
Geno was in kind of...protection mode...
I wonder why..
I even told him before that I really wanna give up now
"Pls sir,I know you know that he's soulless but isn't rare?
He have feelings too! So he can also feel pain and pls...ungrounded him
Not demanding ya but-" Geno said in confident tone as dad cut him off
"I get it
I don't like to finish your stupid words as Ink's friend
Fine,he's not grounded anymore but YOU BETTER DO YOUR JOBS WELL" he grumbled
Me and Geno nodded
"Thank you...sir" Geno said as he proceeded to pull me with him in the dining room while dad continued to watch tv
"Sit down Ink,I'm gonna prepare your food" Geno said
"You don't have to" I replied
"Shush,don't worry about me
I always know what I'm doing,so yeah" he said as he started preparing the food

I just sighed

I was now eating and tbh,the food he made for me was delicious
Geno was now sitting beside me while giving me a warm smile
Huh,is he trying to cheer me up?
"So...Ink...remember when we were kids..?
I noticed how joyable Error was when he was talking about you when he was with you also...
Oh how much I missed him..
I'm sure he's grownup now...matured,adult boy,something .." He muttered
I just giggled
"Sure he is if didn't ran away-
Wait..." I trailed as I was now finished eating my food
"Hm?" Geno hummed
I drank water first then proceeded
"What if...he's still out there,but...we're not really sure he ran away that far from us..,I mean...to other countries or something?" I asked,he started to think as well
"I dunno but I do hope he's still alive and...we'll meet soon.." Geno sadly said
I know how it feels to lose someone who is important to your life..
I sighed then stood up
"Let's...just do our job now,and I don't really need to change my outfit since I'm a detective that works alone,plus...my outfit got messed up so maybe...I'm gonna handle it soon" I said as he just nodded and stood up as well

He started grabbing his stuffs and me grabbing mine as well
We exited the house and kept moving
"Ya know...since..no one can see us here,why can't I just teleport you there" I said
"Huh? What do you-
Oh no you don't!" He yelled
I looked around for a while and I'm sure no one can see us
I quickly made an ink blob and splashed it below us
"Ink I think this is dangerou- AAAA-" he cut himself off by screaming as both of us fell on my portal
"Haha! That was fun tho
No worries,portals are fast enough to get on our location that no one can see us!" I exclaimed
"That is giving me a soul attack!" He yelled as he continued walking
We are now outside of the building
"So uh..yeah thanks btw,goodluck you detective" he said as he smiled
"Thanks,u too" I simply said and smiled back
He entered the building as I sighed,getting bored
I started walking through the street until I noticed someone that caught my attention..
Someone that was wearing a black hoodie with blue color being mixed on his jacket
He's only wearing shorts and slippers

How come that guy is familiar to me..
I started to run and quietly follow that guy

The people that walking past us was so annoying,so distracting
They making me lose my target
I continued following him until on guy got in my way and suddenly lose my spot on my target
Ugh,that's what I'm talking about!
I started to look around and finally found that guy,he was on the roof of the building
He hasn't noticed me yet as his back facing me
I quickly followed him and jumped high with my magic to be on the roof too
Glad no one paid attention of what I did
My target's hands was on his pocket and he seemed relax while walking
Until...
He started running fast as he could
What the-!?
Did he noticed me!?
I ran fast as I could as well to follow him and not to lose track on him
Tbh,I'm getting tired already
When he turned to right side,I still followed him until he was now nowhere to be seen
Infront of me was forest
Now where did he go...

"What did I fucking told you about following me?" Something suddenly asked from behind
"GAH!" I screamed from the surprise he made that made me shock as well
I quickly turned around to see him
Still wearing his mask,I glared at him
"Seems like you're not grounded anymore,oh well" he said
Grr...okay...my main task on him now is...to reveal who he is!"
I then quickly moved my hand towards him to remove his mask but he dodged it and grabbed my wrist
My eyes widened in shock that he was fast too
"Oh I don't think so,dumb sherlock" he grumbled
I groaned and just used my other hand to take it off but he caught it as well
"I don't have time for games,sherlock
What do u want from me?" He asked with his deep voice
"Well,isn't it obvious!? To reveal who you are and report you! So I will have the chance that I have my first criminal victim! Or uh...yeah..
To improve my...rank?" I awkwardly said...
He tilted his head in confusion
"Huh,idk why but..
Nightmare is right, you're a stupid detective" he said as he let me go
"Hey! Take that back! I know what I'm doing!" I yelled
"U just know what you're doing but not your saying" he simply said as he started to ran off again,but this time....in the deep forest
I was now pissed and decided to follow him again

Also,why isn't he attacking me when he had the chance?
