Soon the police came and arrested them and helped Avni to get Neil to hospital.

By now Neil was completely unconscious. The family members also reached there in the meantime. They saw Avni sitting on one of the bench expressionlessly. They went towards her and saw that she was having a lot of bruises. The nurse was asking her to go with them so that they can aid her too but Avni wasn't ready for that.

Neela went towards her and kept a hand on her shoulder. She looked at her with vulnerable eyes. She hugged Neela clutching her waist.

After a lot of insistence Avni went with the nurse to aid her wounds. After that due to the medication she fall asleep for few hours.

On the other side Neil's treatment was over and the doctor told that he was concious. But what he said next made everyone shattered.

" His legs were severely injured to which his lower body is now paralysed. He won't be able to move his legs anymore " these venomous words from the doctor was like pouring oil in in the fire. Suddenly they heard a thud. They turned around to see a broken Avni sitting on the floor. There weren't any tears in her eyes. She was just numb.
Other family members were crying vigorously.

" You can meet the patient now " said the doctor. Avni soon got up coming back from her trance. She went towards his room and opened the door with her trembling hands and get inside the room she saw Neil lying on the hospital bed staring at the ceiling. His upper body was covered with bandages. His right hand was fractured too.

When she came inside he gave a small smile to her to which she gave him her ever charming smile which always made him happy. She slowly went towards him and sit on the Stoll beside. She hold his hands in hers and placed a tight yet soft kiss on his knuckles.

By the time the family members also came there. They saw this and was in tears.

After sometime the doctor came in and asked about how he was doing when he said "doctor i can't move my legs". Doctor was about to say the reason when Avni immediately tell him that "Neil due to the accident your legs have a small problem, doctor said that it will be alright in some weeks" she stammered a bit "hai na doctor" she asked the doctor with pleading eyes which meant him to act along with her and the doctor too agreed because he knew that now the patient needed more was to be happy and stress free. Though Neil was suspicious, he had no other choice other than believing them. All the others smiled seeing her love care and concern towards him.

Its been 3 months that incident happened but he wasn't able to even move his legs. He asked it to them but they just gave him some excuses. He was now able to move with a wheelchair. In these three months Avni never left his side not even for a moment.

She did all the word for him including to make him bath the initial days but later neil said that he will do it as he didn't wanted to bother Avni in everything. He was sad as he can't walk like before, he can't run around the house, to irritate his wifey with is pranks or anything but he never felt as any disabled. Avni never made him think like that. Her care was his biggest medicine.

One random day Avni was about to go to Neil when Swetha stopped her. She saw the whole family was there.

Swetha Said that she wanted to have a word with her.

She started " Avni it's been 3 months and he is not able to even move his leg. Look beta I am his mother as well as yours. You have a long life to life but here you won't be able to have a normal life as you are always behind Neil. Look Avni you don't have to distroy your life just because of this. It was your biggest dream to have a happy family and staying here with Neil will  not help in that, you should move on beta. We all are here for him. You are just like my daughter and you know that he won't be cured it's forever".

( I am not making Swetha any negetive charector but i just add this to show Avni's pov and what she feels now )

But unknown to them someone else was also hearing this. Neil immediately went inside his room with the help of wheelchair. He was totally numb hearing all this especially
When she confirmed that he won't be cured.

He felt that Swetha was right Avni was distroying her life for him. He didn't wanted to be a burden on her.

On the other side Avni was shocked heraing this but she instantly told her "maa you know if it was me who was in that state Neil would never leave me you know why because he love me. I have loved him his soul not his body. Maa I know you are concerned for me but I am happy with him. He was is and will be the same Neil for me. Because Agar Neil hai tabhi Avni hai, Varna Avni kuch nahi hai. And about being cured. He will be and agar by chance nahi hui then also I have no problem because he is my Neil forever maa."

Swetha and the other family members were having happy tears. They were so blessed to have a gem like her but jise sunna tha voh nahi suna.

The next few days Neil comepletely ignored Avni.  He acted like he was irritated by her when he was craving for her each and every moment but all these never stopped her from loving him, she cared him just as before.

Neil also started to call his female friends and flirt with them infront of Avni, he would always say to her that he was busy but Always tell he was free for others.

Avni was very hurt and Neil was guilty for hurting her but he wanted to do this so she will go away from his life. According to him he was just a burden for her.

It continued for some weeks until one day Avni thought to confront him.

Neil was on call with Mithali and she could clearly sense that he was flirting with her. Avni was angry and hurt. She grabbed the phone from him and cut the call.

" What the hell Avni can't you see that I am talking. Please atleast leave me for sometime you are irritating me " he yelled at her, hurt was evident on her face but she let out a small laugh. Neil who shouted on her even looking at her looked at her face. Now she had a sad smile on her face. "You know Neil you can never lie to me, then why are you even trying. Whybare you pushing me away, why are you behaving like this when I know that you are hurting yourself more than me" she said and that was enough for him. He break down infront of her, he hide his face on his palm and cried vigorously shaking his shoulders.

"Go away from me Avni, you are distroying your life, I know i can't be cured Avni, i am just a burden on you you deserve happiness...." He was continuesly blabbering all these until he felt ger soft lips on his cold one. She kissed him harshly showing her anger towards him. She left his lips after a couple of minutes.

"Dare you say that again Neil. I love you and I am happy with you. I love you just the way you are mister Neil Khanna" those words do a great impact on him, these were the same words which once he told to her and now after hearing the same he felt contented.

"I love you" they both told togather......

Its been a year now. But the difference is that Neil is being cured. He can now walk by himself and do his work. Few more weeks he would be comepletely fine and all was because of Avni. Her care, love and hope cured him. Except her all others including Neil lost the hope to be caured but Avni knew that her Neil will be alright. Neil was still regretting the fact that once he  thought to leave her. How could he when he can't stay a moment away from her.
