I woke up the next day, monotonously going through my routine. Ate breakfast, wondered what I would've been texting Jake about over breakfast. Got my school books, remembering what classes Jake had today. Jesus.

That guy's ruling my days.

I went to my room to search for my shoes when I saw a large black something on the back of my door.

It was Jakes leather jacket.

There was a little piece of paper sticker peeking out of the pocket.

Hey,

I want you to have my jacket. Love you lots.

Xx, Jake

My phone pinged in my pocket.

Heyy how's my favourite girl?

I'm fine. I'll try and do your jacket justice! Xx

Im sure u will. ♥ :*

I smiled at the heart and the kissy face emoji.

I had to keep the noise down because Dad was probably still asleep.

I just happened to glance out my window at the other side of the street.

Jake was sat on his bike with the kickstand down.

He had his black ripped jeans and black boots and no jacket.

I found my shoes and put them on.

I slung my bag over my shoulder and hopped out the window.

There was a little breeze blowing through the streets of suburbia.

He looked up at me and smiled.

" Hey, baby. You're looking particularly lovely today. " he smiled, pulling my helmet from the under seat compartment.

" Ever the flatterer aren't we? " I grinned.

He pulled me to his lips, prying them apart slowly.

His hand slowly slid to my backside as he pulled me impossibly closer.

" Are you okay? " I asked, looking into his eyes.

His smile dropped.

" I'll be fine. I just need a little time. " he whispered, stroking my cheek.

" You're so brave. My big brave baby boy! " I cooed, pinching his cheeks.

" C'mon. We going or what? " he said, guiding me to sit on the bike behind him.

He revved the engine loudly and sped up the street.

We arrived at school in no time.

He gave me a kiss as he dropped me off at the gates as he went to park his bike.

I went up to chemistry to set up the lab experiment.

We were burning stuff because it was the last day of school before the exams.

I got the magnesium ribbon and set it alight.

The flame burnt bright white, like a sparkler.

I looked up to see Jake across the classroom, staring intently back at me.

He too was holding a piece of magnesium with tweezers in the bunsen flame.

Pay attention! I mouthed.

He looked to his flame and saw it had caught his paper.

He quickly dropped it in the sink and turned the tap on.

I giggled, turning the gas tap off and putting away my things.

We walked to History, Jake giving me a quick kiss before he went down the hall to his R.E class.

I wrote down the criteria for my history paper that was due in next week.

We had to choose a modern asset that has remained the same since ancient times.

I chose Love.
