Chapter 11

Pallet Town was left in ruble and town's people were shifted elsewhere since the area's only source of water and irritation was contaminated. The only house in the entire town that was still standing was Ash's. A huge memorial grave was prepared for Ash's pokemon and him. 

Standing near the huge stone with engraved text Wishing all the pokemon all the died there years ago. 

Ash touches the engraved stone shining in the moonlight smiling a bit "I hope you're all doing fine" Ash wishes to himself.

Ash sits down leaning on the huge memorial stone. He looks far off into the distance not knowing what else to do. His sight was clear all the anger that's been blocking it was gone.

"Charizard tell me do you miss everyone"  Ash asks looking expectantly at Charizard. Charizards makes a no gesture and Ash was left speechless.  "I know you do, you dont have to act all tough like that. It's okay to feel sad" Ash says smiling brightly. 

Charizard doesn't even move but Ash sees the incredible amount of Aura flowing out of Charizard. The sky erupts with blue flames as Ash watches unable to form words. "You miss us even when we're all with you" Ash recognizes the voice and his eyes well up with joy. It had been months since Ash had seen Pikachu's soul again. 

"Charizard doesn't miss any of us, Because he is everyone one of us and we're him" Pikachu says in a confusing manner leaving Ash to think about it.

"Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" Ash thinks. "You didn't understand, did you?" asks Pikachu as he already knew it was going to happen. "You got me" Ash admits scratching the back of his head.

"What was left of ours souls has been infused with Charizard making his soul more complex and."  Pikachu explains. "I see, so that's why Charizard has gotten so strong lately" Ash makes the right assumption and Pikachu nods. 

"Seeing your own grave stone must feel great aye?" Pikachu asks and Ash makes a no gesture with his head.

Ash enjoys Pikachu's presence they talk and the night passes happily.

"Ash, it's time I infuse with Charizard too" Pikachu says and Ash looks at Pikachu confused.

"What!!!!!!!, arent u already??" asks Ash and Pikachu reply. "No, Ash i was just living inside him. My soul is nearing its end. I can either preserve what tiny bit of life it has by infusing with Charizard like everyone else did" says Pikachu. 

"Thats not a problem, is it not?" Ash asks with a bit of concern. "We wont be able to talk like this anymore if i do it" Pikachu says and Ash realises whats been going on till now.

"You didn't infuse with Charizard so you could talk to me. Putting your life on the line so you could make sure i never strayed of the path?" Ash asks.

"You know me all too well, this is the least i can do" Pikachu smiles. "You've done enough already" Ash says.

"Ash, remember that I didnt die for you, I just lived for you my friend, No my best friend" Pikachu smiles. Ash was left speechless but he smiles back nevertheless. 

"Pick up from right where you lost it, start afresh again. I'll be watching you my Best Friend" Pikachu adds in smiling as he disappears. Ash didnt have much of a reply to that. But he knew it was going to be alright even though he couldn't see Pikachu or talk to him again.

"Sulking over them again, what a waste of time" Ash's inner self scoffs at him. 

"It's easy for you to say, You were the cause of all this in the first place." Ash snaps back. "It isn't my fault your this weak and pathetic" Ash's inner voice says. "Then help me get stronger" Ash asks. "No" The inner voice replies. "At least tell me where I was wrong, I trained all my pokemon with love and care" Ash argues. 

"It's Exactly where you went wrong" the inner self replies. "How?" Ash asks the voice. "You trained every pokemon with Love" the reply comes. "Are you trying to say, I should've trained my pokemon like how paul does treating them like trash?" Ash asks in a mad tone.

"Quit jumping to conclusions" the voice replies calmly and continues "Every Pokemon is different, some need love and affection to grow stronger, some need harsh training. The same is true for your pokemon. Those pokemon who needed love grew stronger because they got what they needed from you. While those that needed rigorous training slacked behind. You gave everyone love and good treatment. But you weren't good enough to give them what they needed to grow stronger." Ash's inner self makes Ash realize what he was wrong about.

"So when you needed them to be strong, they were all too weak" Ash's inner self makes it clear that Ash was the real reason some of his pokemon could never get stronger. 

"I know I made mistakes, but can you help me correct them??" Ash begs realizing all his mistakes.

"What's in it for me?"Ash's inner self asks. "What do you want?" Ash asks.

"I want you to switch with me, whenever I ask for" His demand was clear. "It's too much" Ash declared. "Then keep being the weakling you are" His inner voice replies as it doesn't care at all.  

Ash takes a moment to think, 'If I don't get stronger, Team Rocket and others like them would destroy this world. I can't allow that. But allowing him out is as or more dangerous than letting them do their wish. I have to work out a way to talk him into my way'.

"I accept" Ash says doubtfully. "Good for you" The voice says. "How do you intend to take care of that one tho" Ash's inner self asks, "huh?" Ash is left puzzled. "Take care of it yourself, I've no interest in your life." The voice says and Ash sighs.

"I feel bad for that girl, to deal with you is just pain. I cannot fathom her suffering" Ash's inner voice says as Ash's attention shifts, and he finds himself locking eyes with a pair of stunning azure-blue eyes, reminiscent of the vast ocean.

Ash was left speechless when he saw her. Charizard and Ash watch as the girl walks up to them and silently walks past them. A wave of uncertainty washed over Ash's mind as he found himself momentarily at a loss for words or actions.
