Waking up in a place that definitely was not your dorm, you turn around and indeed, this wasn't your room-it was Lucifer's.

The same old pristine surroundings, the colour theme of red and black (his signature colours if anything) along with that skeleton holding up that pillar-which perhaps as a human-you understood less so how that would come into interior design. In fact, it rather spooked you.

You were still fully clothed and so, as you reminisced over what events last night (how is he such a smooth talker?) you turn around, to find that Lucifer is not beside you.

Instead you are met with a note in a book, placed neatly on his pillow, the words, "Sorry to leave you, Diavolo called. You can have my undivided attention anytime later on." Were written in his perfect cursive writing.

How did he manage to make you fluster even at the thought of him? Yawning, you stretch and sluggishly move out of the bed of his sheets.

Then you had a realisation.

Asmo would definitely know "soMetHIng passIonaTe" happened, and you can't walk into breakfast smelling like Lucifer's room. Even if you washed for an unnecessary amount of times, Asmo would know.

As you teleported to your room (to avoid any sightings of you coming out of his room-once more) you ponder.

Would that be so bad? Asmo knowing? He did say he would support this relationship... he did make some valid points-and whatever he spoke about after that- when he told you to '#girlboss'.
Asmo things, you presumed.

Regardless, now changed and-ready to battle against the interrogation of the Avatar of Lust, you casually stroll into the dining hall. It was Sunday, meaning Beel was no longer on duty (a part of you felt relief you would not be sent one to buy random ingredients so early in the morning due to Beel eating them) and you were met with the usual hectic conversations.

Levi and Mammon arguing over money, Belphie asleep on two of the dinner room chairs, Asmo applying moisturiser whilst vlogging for his Devilgram, and Satan reading a book, his food in front of him devoured by Beel.

It was more chaotic than usual-that's what often occurs when the 'Head of The House' is gone, you knew. Just as you were about to sit down, your D.D.D beeped. A text message... from Lucifer. Strange. He wasn't one to message randomly, especially when he knew we would be having a meal right now.

Lucifer:
Keep the others in line Y/N. I'm counting on you.

Uh-what? You? Keep six brothers in line? Demon brothers in line? You could barely keep up with one at a time, let alone- you hadn't even realised you had began to murmur to yourself, and a hand swished in front of you.

"Hellloooo?? Earth to Y/N!" You snapped back to reality. It was Leviathan-your one and only otaku.

He looked rather enraged.

"You totally left me by myself on Monoke Island! I told you to come with me so we can do the walkthrough in the last battle scene-and you didn't even cancel on me!" He yelled, eyebrows furrowed and his hand out pointing at you. You were unaffected, of course.

"Levi. You didn't message me anything about coming to your room, you realise?" You say, starting to eat.

He places his hand over his mouth and turns.

"W-well! How were you expecting a socially-awkward otaku like me to just ask you that! You were just supposed to know!" Ah, so he had merely assumed you would be coming to this event.

A slam was heard from the opposite side of the table. Satan had placed his book down.

"Levi-leave Y/N alone. They just woke up and they're already pestered enough as it is." He said, with a cold glare towards you.

A cold glare towards you? What? Why would Satan be mad at you? He slid the book on the table, huffed out, and left. The others continued their conversations as per normal, but-you had to know-what did Satan know?

Was it that book you had recommended him earlier last week? The one about cats? Did it have some misinformation in it-was that it? What could you have done to anger the Avatar of Wrath?

You were going to find out, regardless of the cost. Quickly stuffing your breakfast into your mouth, you hurry out to catch Satan on the way to his room, all whilst mentally preparing for any situation. What if he suddenly hates you?

As you caught up to him, trying not to sound out of breath, and as though it was total coincidence that you had met, despite your rooms at polar opposite ends of the House of Lamentation, you slow down your walk and begin to talk.

"Satan-can I talk to you for a minute?" You ask politely, careful so as to not upset him: you had no idea what could trigger him as of right now.

He stopped in his tracks, crossing his arms and looking you up and down. It reminded you of what he first was like when you first came to the Devildom. Harsh and cold, very blunt and would scowl at your entrance in a room. Surely-surely you hadn't gone back to that low-level of a stage with Satan?

"Fine. You're going to have to explain yourself."  He briskly walked to his room, walking you to it, still being gentle in touching your shoulder as he leaned his head for you to enter first.

At the very least, you understood he wasn't furious enough to forget his basic manners.

As the door shut, you glanced around the room for any potential signs as to why he was acting the way he was. Maybe the book you gave him was somewhere here, where you could grab it and run, ridding him of his anger? Oh! It was on his desk, with many tags in it. Pft. You couldn't imagine the amount of annotations he would have made in that.

Wait... so-you couldn't have been the problem-not with the book at least.

Satan beckons you to sit down, sitting down himself on the edge of his bed. As you join him, he turns to face the ground, before mumbling some words you could not understand.

"Huh? Can you repeat that?" You ask, leaning in. He blushes at your close contact and  repeats the sentence.

"Is it true?"

What did he mean by that? Seeing your confused face, he clarifies.

"Is it true that you and Lucifer are-you know-dating?" He looks at you head on, eyes filled with a distant hope, likely- he would have wanted you to say no.

Wait- back up- process that a little. You and Lucife-oh. Was this about the fake dating? Did Lucifer begin to spread the news? You looked down at your legs, fidgeting with your hands in dismay.

He hadn't told you anything.

Satan must have sensed your stress, since he began to ramble.

"Lucifer said something about having a partner- and he proudly stuck it up in my face that it was you-and I was wondering-though Lucifer doesn't really...lie... I was hoping that perhaps..." You looked up at him, and cleared your throat.

"Sorry Satan... me and Lucifer are a couple." You nervously laugh, scratching your neck awkwardly. "It's new for me, but-" You look at the ground once more, deep in thought, "-I really do cherish Lucifer."

Satan sighs. In disappointment? Happiness? You did not know.

All he replied in response was a mumbled,
"I see."

When you next saw Lucifer, you would punch him. His egotistical self shoving that we're a couple to his brothers. Him and his pride.

Satan stared at you for a few more seconds, before he stood up.

"I hope you two are happy together."

That was all he said. Before he got up, and left his room.
