Well.

That went as well as anybody could have hoped it to... so...

Now you knew that Lucifer had began to spread the news of you two being a-a couple. Right. This felt... weird. It made your stomach twist into a knot of anxiousness- you has felt fine about this situation, but now... now it felt too real. Or moreover, it wasn't real-and you realised that-you wanted it to be.

You stared at the floor in silence for a moment, lost in thought, the sound of the quiet overwhelming.

Your D.D.D was ringing.

"Gah! Who- hello?" You pick up the phone, your heart beating faster than it needed to.

"Lucifer? Are you okay? You sound rather-exasperated?" You ask, feeling his usual smirk despite it being only a verbal call.

"Y/N, I am so sorry to bother you so early and push you to act as my partner-but a mob of girls are waiting on the benches, and I realised far too late to turn back. I am quite literally, hiding behind a wall. Using magic now will only create the image that I hate people. Which-"

"Which you do? Pft. I'm on my way. It'll take a little while since teleportation will only bring more attention to you-but, we need to discuss how -this-is all going to work later on." He murmured a 'Yes, of course.' Before cursing as apparently he may have been spotted.

The image of Lucifer getting attacked by a rampage of girls was indeed amusing, but you cleared your throat so as to play it off.

It would be better to teleport after all: the thought of you being out of breath and looking desperate would only cause you to blend in with the fangirls. Eugh-you meaning nothing special to Lucifer, for some reason, really upset you.

~One teleportation later~

Where even was he? You couldn't see him at all. Had he caved in and used his flashy ball of purple light to scare everyone away? Why would he-oh! There he was.

The 'mob' of girls Lucifer had talked about turned out to be -two girls. Two.

For the Avatar of Pride and eldest son, damn did he get spooked easily. You supposed he just didn't want the trouble or disturbance today.

As you moved closer to him, trying to act casual as if you hadn't seen your tall partner walking along the very same path, you loudly announce, "Oh! Lucifer? What are you doing here so early?" Giving him a grin the moment he turned around, relief flooding his face.

The two girls stopped in their tracks, their faces expressionless as they looked to and fro-you to Lucifer-from Lucifer to you.

He smirked and offered his arm out, to which you linked arms quite happily. He leaned in and kissed your hair gently, his eyes closed and his cheeks blushing ever so slightly. Your initial thought was that he reminded you of a puppy.

He leans in closer to your ear, whispering, "You can make more of a scene if you'd like."

A scene? What were you? Some kind of actor ready to burst into a musical?

Alright then. A scene he'd get.

You leaned your head on his shoulder, looked deeply into his eyes and asked, "You should have told me you'd have work earlier. You left our bed empty and cold-so much for our date-Lucifer." You held back on making a physical scene-after all, kissing Lucifer in front of two of his most dedicated fans seemed hurtful-from all perspectives.

Lucifer's eyes widened at the statement of "our" bed, before he took your hand and kissed it gingerly, linking your arm with his once more. He looks into your eyes, his own glowing a passionate scarlet.
