The ambulance screeched to a stop outside of the Shadyside police station. Kate and Jessica turned around in their seats to look at the others.

"So who's going in?" Kate asked.

"We will. We're the ones who saw him." Deena said, taking charge.

Everyone nodded in agreement. The two girls in the front got out and walked around to the back. Jessica opened the doors, and Josh hopped out. Simon followed suit, and held out his hand for Deena. She grabbed it, and jumped out too, leaving Sam to exit the ambulance last.

She finally hopped out and landed shakily on the pavement. Jessica offered her hand, and Sam took it as she steadied herself.

"You ok?" She whispered. Sam nodded, looking as if she might puke if she opened her mouth.

"Alright." Deena said.

"Good luck guys." Kate said jokingly. Jessica gave them a smile, and the two girls walked towards the entrance to the police station.

The four friends watched them as they made their way across the parking lot, and eventually through the door.

Simon crossed his arms and looked around nervously. Jessica shot him a quizzical look.

"We should not be this close to the police station in a stolen ambulance." He whispered.

"Well, that's the whole point, we're hiding in plain sight." Kate stated.

"Yeah, just like Bundy!" Josh added.

The three just looked at him.

"Y'know, Ted Bundy? When he was stalking his victims."

"Yeah, we know." Jessica cut him off.

"Didn't Bundy get caught though?" Kate rose an eyebrow at him.

"Well..."

"Alright, I'm gonna go take a leak." Simon announced, gesturing behind him. Kate rolled her eyes in return.

"So, why do you know so much about killers?" Jessica asked.

Josh shrugged.

"Know thy enemy."

Kate pursed her lips and nodded. She looked up at Jessica. Jessicas arm snaked around her back, ending up resting just above her waist. Kate leaned her head on Jessicas shoulder.

"Can you believe this shit is happening to us?" She asked, mostly to Jessica.

"Nah man, it's wild. Like, who would've thought?" Josh replied.

"I know." Jessica added, shaking her head softly, her eyes looking down at her shoes.

The sound of footsteps walking quickly towards them made her look back up again, though.

"We need to leave. Now." Deena said, coming to a stop in front of them.

"I think we should stay." Sam disagreed. "We're safe here! What if that psycho shows up again?"

"Then we'll be ready." Deena replied, moving her arm to remove something.

A gun.

Jessica jumped at the sight. It wasn't that she hated guns, it was just... unexpected. To say the least.

"What the hell!" Sam exclaimed.

"Deena what is that?" Josh whispered.

"Is that the cops? You stole a cop's gun?"

"Fuck yeah she did!" Kate said proudly, removing her head from Jessicas shoulder.

Jessica gave an encouraging nod.
