"What do you mean?" Jessica asked, rising to her feet. The other teens sitting around her did the same.
"I like, had a vision or something. I fell out of the car, and I saw flashes of her, or her life or whatever."
"Let's go back." Kate suggested.
"Are you crazy?" Simon hissed. "Why the fuck would we go back to the place that Sam got whacked in the head and had some crazy hallucination."
"Do have any better ideas?" Jessica demanded. "We don't know anything. We should at least try to go find some answers. Maybe even figure out how to end this shit."
Kate smiled at her. Jessica wasn't very passionate about most things, so seeing her so determined was refreshing. She liked it.
"Yeah." Deena said. "We have to try."
Simon shrugged.
"Alright, but if something weird shows up, I'm leaving you all."
Jessica gave a small laugh, and elbowed him gently. He rolled his eyes sarcastically in return, and laughed back.
"Great, come on." Kate said, gesturing for the group to follow her, and again, they piled into the ambulance outside.

Jessica sat up front next to Kate, and they talked almost the whole way, occasionally laughing at something the other said, or hitting each other gently.
Simon watched them silently, thinking. There was something going on between them, he could sense it. They were just different with each other. Seemed closer than they usually were. It was weird. I mean, to be fair, they were being chased by some dead undead killers. But he didn't think that was it...
"Yo, Simon. Whatcha thinking about?" Deena asked. Sams head was lying on her shoulder.
"What? Nothing."
"Cmon man, I can hear the gears turning up there." Josh added, giving him a slap on the arm.
"Do they seem different to you?" He asked, nodding his head towards the girls in the front.
"Dude, we're being chased by psycho killers. I think we're all a little different."
"Nah, it's not like that..."
"Yeah." Deena agreed. "They seem hella close. Like they've always been close, but it's just... different."
He nodded, shifting his attention back to them.
"So why do you do it? If you hate it so much." Jessica asked.
"I have like, no other extracurriculars. My mom told me I had to do something, cheerleading seemed like the best option." Kate shrugged.
"Well I personally think you should've joined theater." Jessica's lips parted into a grin. "Y'know, because you're so dramatic."
Kate laughed.
"Oh yeah, for sure. And you should've done chess."
The two girls were both laughing now.
"Yes! Or- or basketball. You'd be really good at that, if you weren't so short." Jessica said between giggles, poking fun at Kates's height. It was sort of an inside joke they had. Jessica would make fun of Kate for being short, and Kate would tell Jessica how tall she was. It was funny, see, because Kate was 5 inches taller than Jess.
"That would be perfect for you though!" Kate replied, returning the joke.
Kate kept her eyes on the road, though still giggling softly. Jessica admired her features for a moment, just staring at the girl beside her. She was so lucky to have her. To have someone so caring, so funny, so gorgeous.
