Their screams were unbearable. Jessica squeezed her eyes shut, reminding herself that they couldn't actually feel it. It's Sarah Fier, not the people. Kate looked at her sympathetically and gave her hand a little squeeze.

Finally, after a few more seconds of torture, when Jessica thought she couldn't handle it anymore, the screams stopped. The group of teens exchanged a look before Simon grabbed his designated fire extinguisher, leading them into the bathroom.

"Holy shit..." Jessica whispered, taking in all of the blood that covered the floors, ceiling, and walls of the bathroom.

"Come back from that, motherfuckers!" Simon shouted victoriously.

The group laughed happily, in a sense of disbelief. Jessica approached a stall door, examining the goo it was covered with. It was black, slimy, and smelled absolutely rancid. The stench reminded her of a dead raccoon in a dumpster.

She stupidly extended a finger and poked it, wanting to capture as many details about it as possible.

But it moved.

Jessica jumped back and looked around the room. It was happening everywhere.

"Guys... I think there's something-" Deena grabbed Josh's shoulder before he could finish his sentence, and they ran out of the bathroom.

Jessica tried to think of a place for them to go. Desperately she checked the locks to all of the classrooms, knowing they didn't have much time before the killers would be up and after them again. Finally, one gave.

"In here!" She yelled, shooing her friends into the classroom.

Kate slammed the door shut and locked it, while Deena tried moving a filing cabinet in front.

"Help me!"

Jessica went to the other side and pushed as hard as she could, as Simon shoved a table in front of the door as well.

"Hurry, they're coming!" Deena yelled with one final push.

"They're gonna keep coming!" Kate replied, looking around the room as if she would find something

"We're fucked!" Simon cried.

"No. We are not fucked." She looked at Sam. "She's fucked."

"What?" Deena whispered.

"We put Sam in the hall, and end this now."

Jessica looked at the ground in thought. She racked her brain, trying to figure out any other solution. She didn't want Sam to die. She didn't want any of them to die.

But she couldn't find one.

"Look, ok bullets didn't stop them. Fine! They're really strong. But we just tried to goddamn explode them, and that didn't work! We can't keep fighting."

Sam nodded silently.

"She's right"

"Sam..." Jessica turned to the girl.

"No. There's gotta be another way. There has to be!" Deena pleaded with tears in her eyes.

"You'd let us all die to protect her?"

"You're suggesting killing her?"

"That's not exactly what she's saying." Josh added.

"Oh, so you're on her side?

"Deena please!" Jessica yelled. "Can you think of anything better to do? We're out of options. None of us want this, but there's nothing else we can do." Now it was Jessica whose eyes were teary.
