Now what the two had gotten a chance to actually talk to each other, Ron and Draco began getting along. Ron stayed by Draco's side and insured that he got the attention he needed. Hermione teased the boys quite often and reminded them of when they despised each other.
But that was a different time.
That was before Draco began to trust Ron after Ron had taken him in.
Before Ron and Hermione even had a chance to explain why Draco was with them, Harry flipped out. Before Draco even had a chance to say anything, he was shoved to the ground and had a wand pointed at him. "Harry!!" Ginny called out, hoping he would listen to her, but to no avail. Draco tried to stand up and say that he didn't mean any harm, but he was smacked and told to shut up.
"Stop it!" Ron yelled, grabbing Draco and making sure he was alright. After checking Draco for any injuries, he held Draco closely to keep him from getting hurt any further.
"What the hell Ron?!" Harry yelled at the redhead. He was fuming as his mind tried to find an answer as to why Ron was protecting Draco. Of all people Ron had chosen to take under his wing, he chose a Malfoy.
Draco clung to Ron as Hermione explained almost everything that had happened during their break. Hermione knew it was going to take a while for Harry to adjust to the change, but she didn't think he would react like this.
Ron had taken notice that Draco had completely shut down and held his hands over the blondes ears. Harry and Ron glared at each other while Hermione continued to explain things.
This was going to be a long year..
